I don’t know, Rose...Frank Luntz’s focus group of Obama voters HATED the speech and his message. Except for one young black woman in the front row who blamed Bush. They all laughed at her, too.
Some have speculated Obama would get a bounce from the speech, but I thought the speech was a disaster.
Dems are waking up. They’re a thick lot so it takes awhile.

His results are bad but this poll was done before the speech. The man is a menace to this country and all will be waking up fast now as the Marxists start to try to ram cap and trade down our throats before November. Another poll at U.S.E. before his speech shows Obama and Pelosi and Reid getting really low approvals on the economy. I hope they have iron stomachs, because that may require calling out the troops in Detroit and L.A. when the welfare cuts are announced.

I always thought Obama was a gifted speaker, though disagree with him politically 100%.
But this speech was a disaster. Chris Matthews and Olbermann were openly disappointed in the speech. When his cheerleaders on MSNBC are not supporting him, you know it’s bad.
These are dark days in the Obama White House.

We are seeing proof that the guy really has no core beliefs. He is just “The Worlds Greatest Spokesperson In The World” out of those TV ads. He can sell insurance, beer, or global warming policy depending on the ad copy you hand him. But he has no emotional attachment to any of it. Just the spokesmodel reading the dictates of liberal think-tanks and policy wonks. He is not emotionally invested in any of it, just enjoying the perks of the gig.
Mark my words...., stated many times before. Just 2-3% more to the downside and we have a Carteresque crumble before us.
It is a skill that served him well as community organizer, academic, state senator and DC Senator. All those positions require good BS skills with no real world skills to solve or manage anything.
Now, as POTUS, he is exposed. I have to tip my hat, he made it this far as an empty suit who knows basically nothing.
