Whether Barack Obama is simply incompetent as President or has some hidden agenda to undermine this country, at home and abroad, he has nearly everything he needs to ruin America, including a fool for a Vice President.

My own random thought:

“I’m glad I live in a country in which a man can say this kind of thing publicly and not have to worry about being murdered for it.”

“Washington politicians who have never run any business are telling all kinds of businesses ... how they have to run their businesses. This is the golden age of ignorance in power.”

It’s hard to pick a favorite from this list in these times.

Rome was not built in a day. The Progressives are working on that problem.

My favorite.

"When I see the worsening degeneracy in our politicians, our media, our educators, and our intelligentsia, I can’t help wondering if the day may yet come when the only thing that can save this country is a military coup." - Thomas Sowell

Sowell is one of my favorite authors. The “Vision of the Annointed” was a wonderful eye opener for me a long time ago.

“After North Korea torpedoed a South Korean ship, killing 46 sailors, was there even one-tenth the outrage that is ringing out loudly around the world because of 9 deaths that resulted from Israeli commandoes intercepting a ship heading for the Gaza strip”?

Nice...

Just as the American left has adopted blacks as mascots, so the international left has adopted Palestinians as mascots. In both cases, the actual well-being of the mascots is not the point.

Amen, Prof. Sowell. In fact, the mascots suffer horribly at the hands of their self-professed saviors.

Before liberals' Great Society, black families had higher church attendance and lower divorce rates than white families. Their rate of economic progress was higher. Now many black families live in fear of crime and without decent schools for their children.

Before the Arab imperialist wars against Israel, Palestinians were profiting from commerce with Jews. Now they live in a murderous ghetto.

Leftists themselves are the oppressors they claim to be struggling against.

“Even though some people say we are living in a “knowledge economy,” we are living in a political atmosphere in which ignorance has more power than ever. Washington politicians who have never run any business are telling all kinds of businesses— from automobile companies and banks to hospitals and insurance companies— how they have to run their businesses. This is the golden age of ignorance in power.”

Love it. Thanks for the ping jaz, and thanks for the thoughts Dr. Sowell.

When you consider what an enormous windfall gain it is to be born in America, it is painful to hear some people complain bitterly that someone else got a bigger windfall gain than they did.
