Good thing those Peruvians videotaped Joran’s processing. I know I saw Joran reading those documents before siging them. I didn’t see anyone threatening him to do so either. Mama must have bought him a new lawyer.

I got the paper version of De Telegraaf right here and what they say about Elton Garcia is this:
-when the police questioned him, he had on him all the papers (I think what they mean by papers is identification etc.) of an FBI-agent, suggesting that he in fact is an FBI-agent
-they suggest that they wanted to continue the sting operation that started in Aruba, in Peru, so Joran could be extradited to the US at some point
-Elton Garcia invited Joran to Peru, paying for everything
-Elton and Joran didn't know each other very well, but Elton was the one who called the hotel on Tuesday asking for Joran
-Joran now feels/knows he was being set up by this Garcia guy - in order to continue the sting operation in Peru
So, Stephany was probably the factor that they didn't take into account... poor girl...

his latest withdrawal of his confession actually works against him, and i just read where they don't count the time spent waiting for trial against the sentence, and since this may take up two years to get to trial...well...long time in a bad, bad place. in two months or so he will be dumped into GP. good luck, joran; enjoy the karma.

LIMA, Peru — A Peruvian judge on Friday denied a defense motion to void the confession of Joran van der Sloot in the murder of a 21-year-old Lima student because the attorney representing him at the time was state-appointed.
Superior Court Judge Wilder Casique rejected the habeus corpus motion on behalf of Van der Sloot, who is jailed pending trial on charges of first-degree murder and robbery in the May 30 death in his hotel room of Stephany Flores, whom he met playing poker in a casino.

I hope this murdering lying POS does not get off on a technicality, or shipped back to Aruba or Holland.
After reviewing the available evidence and patterns of behavior, IMHO Van Der Sloot is a serial killer, a sociopath, and a psychopath.
Not surprised Hennie. If you remember the original photos found on VDS;s computer after Natalie disappeared were troubling images of young kinds in neck chains and leashes.
All the more troubling because VDS was a HS student living at home with his parents.
Nancy Grace reported tonight that Beth Holloway was arrested taking a camera into the prison in Peru to see Joran. Have you heard about this yet??
