Y'all are absolutely right about incendiaries. Since most of the buildings in Japan were wood rather than masonry like in Europe incendiaries were used. It never occurred to me that HE bombs were probably the exception over Japan.

WW II was 65 years ago. WW I was over 90 years ago. And they are still finding bombs?? Not only do folks still find bombs but also pockets of mustard gas that takes its toll. With the gas, you are in it before you know it is there.
