Any success by BP has nothing to do with that little Marxist Kenyan homo squatting in the WH but he sure as hell gets all of the blame for holding up permits that could have helped save LA coastlines.

I hope it holds and is viewed as a triumph of industrial know how . Fat freakin chance .

Fat chance is right. Liberals always let things they are against bail them out.

When the weight of the mud in the pipe is equal to the pressure coming out of the well, the pressure should read as 0 as I understand it. Then you pump some concrete in there to seal it like that.

This whole operation may go to hell at some later time, but I believe that what you are seeing “gushing out” of that whole is the mud which is being pumped down the well to counter the blowout.

Yeah, let's look at what I actually said since you never bother to actually show us what you are talking about.

And, as several have said here, the supposedly live underwater video shows something still gushing into the water.

An average reader would have known that my statement made no claim of knowing exactly what was happening. I made NO claim about what was gushing out, and clearly made my uncertainly known. I wondered whether it was crude or mud, which is why I wrote the sentence I wrote.

But you based your silly replies to me on the false notion that I claimed oil was still gushing from the leaks. I made no such statement, and most average readers would have known that.

No more time will be wasted responded to this silliness of yours.

My only, and 100% true original statements were that the information in the thread was old, and no new information had come along to justify the claims of success in the headline for the thread, and in the discussion.

That's what my posts have been about, that the headline is wrong and there was no new information in the article

No Sh@t. And in post 52 I explained why. Your high school debating skills suck. Keep it up.

A 3 mile deep hole/smooth oil slickened pipe that's 1 mile beneath sea level where air won't be available to cure the cement... How much PSI is the oil being pushed up at?

Well maybe not in feminized, American Idol, narcissistic Queer Eye, nose to iPhone America it won't, but I'll give an appreciative and prolonged Standing Ovation from deep in EyeGuy Manor. For the same reason, I'm a fan of productive, ingenious, hard-work solutions, I despise the oily and empty, word-parsing destruction of legal/political maneuvering.

I don’t know what to believe. The Oil drum is saying otherwise:

The Oil Drum has morons posting just as we do on FR Joe. I think the well is still under control and they are getting ready to cement. Let's pray it works.

Did it leak out the riser?

As a casual observer this is indeed the question. They have lost 90% of what they are pumping into the well, where did it go and how is it getting out?

The Oil Drum has some interesting theories that there are leaks around the outside/layers of below ground casing due to insufficient/inadequate cement job.

Take this from a novice, but if true, IMHO we have a long way to go to fix this thing.

Addicting ... :-)

Thanks, someone finally provides a link with more current information, and it’s not great, but still indicates that the plan might work after more adjustments.

But I think we can forget about the original headline for this thread.

“Engineers have succeeded in stopping the flow of oil and gas into the Gulf of Mexico ...... “

That’s a lie. I am so damn sick of all these Obama hating lies.

Obama stopped the leak. He save all those jobs and millions of sea creatures. He save all of the worlds oceans. He saved one of our most important food sources required for the human race to survive. So as you can see, Obama save the entire world and all of it’s people.

DO NOT underestimate Obama. He did all of this....... from a golf course.

I hope so but I seriously doubt it. Did you see the NTT report the past 15 minutes? They stopped pumping the mud.

Hey, clown, my first post was to the originator of the thread, to post #1. And you wouldn't even be allowed into a high school debate with your habit of constantly refusing to provide support (links) to the things you claim.

And there's nothing at all special about your #52. You didn't even catch that the whole thread was still about information from early in the morning, and that several threads on that information had been eliminated by the moderator because it had been repeated so often. I just scanned right by your #52 because it contained no useful information.

Yep, and that was actually a very poor headline from Hot Air based on what Admiral Allen had said early this morning. The Admin. Moderator had been eliminating the many repeats of that same story, but this one slipped by since it came from Hot Air with a different headline.
