I remember seeing a story about her on TV several years ago (it might have been 60 Minutes.) The thing about that story that really sticks in my mind is the wild-eyed rant she gave in Spanish...the eyes of a crazy person.

I really, really hope that she doesn’t come back to this country so she can be featured on the usual liberal shows and presented as some sort of victim and/or heroine. She ought to stay put, raise her kid, keep her mouth shut and thank God that she’s still able to suck oxygen.

Lori Berenson has said she still wants to help others and even though it's too late for her to become a doctor. Her mother said she told her she would like to do something "medically related" when she gets out of prison.
