Wow astonished, AMAZED, but can’t say I disagree with Mr. Jobs, Porn only servers to ruin peoples’ lives!
Read any FR Apple thread for your answer. The anti-Apple vitriol is, at times, nearly incomprehensible...
Apple users can't even discuss technical aspects of their equipment of choice here without being personally attacked -- as "leftists" or "gays" or worse...
If it's not mere jealousy or envy, it is a mental illness...

Yes, it is ... the anti-Apple vitriol oozes from the pores of some posters ... :-)
Apple users can't even discuss technical aspects of their equipment of choice here without being personally attacked -- as "leftists" or "gays" or worse...
Yes, you and me and many other Apple users have been here long enough to know that. It happens all the time.
In terms of this topic alone, with Apple controlling the applications that they distribute in their "app store" -- and eliminating porn from it -- you would think the "porn lobby" invaded the Apple threads at times, with the cries for "freedom from control" (which to me, seems to be "freedom for my porn" ... LOL ... but they don't say it that way, of course).
And at the same time that they are crying for "freedom" [for their porn], yes..., they accuse Apple users of being gay or liberals (aren't those gays and liberals the ones who are using the porn? ... :-) ...)
If it's not mere jealousy or envy, it is a mental illness...
Something is definitely wrong there, with their thinking... that's for sure ... :-)
Are people jealous of Steve Jobs and Apple?
That may be part of it, too... with Steve Jobs coming back to the company -- and showing those previous CEOs that they were "doing it all wrong" and that they should have never kicked him out of the company in the first place, because Jobs does know what he's doing there.
When Jobs came back, he turned it back to where it was before, when he was running things, and has show how successful Apple can be when it concentrates on making "wildly successful products" -- and not being just "another computer company"...
But, the funny thing about all this "hullaballoo" about the porn restriction on the Apple App Store -- is that these "complainers" put it as "control" that they are against -- however, it's been the same control as always -- from the time that the iPhone was first sold (about three years ago).
What made it really "go bigtime" (in the complaints) was when Jobs said -- "no porn" ... then it exploded and a whole lot of people complained ... LOL ...
So, I think you can see where these complaints are coming from ... it's the "porn lobby" (or the unofficial porn lobby, from the porn users themselves...).
Wow astonished, AMAZED, but cant say I disagree with Mr. Jobs, Porn only servers to ruin peoples lives!
You should see all the ones posting on these threads about Apple putting on the "porn restrictions" and Jobs saying to those complainers ... "Go to the Android phone for your porn."
They jump all over Apple for restricting the porn on the Apple App Store, and they say that the iPhone is lousy and not worth it and on and on and on ... LOL ...
I guess there are a lot of porn users out there ... :-)
I doubt that I ordinarily agree with Jobs on many political issues, but he is a remarkable and serious person. He has simply out-thought other executives in the tech field. He is right about porno. Apple products come with parental controls, which can be set by parents to block dangerous websites.
It's basically a "good business decision" by Steve Jobs. He knows that it's the average and normal American that buys Apple products. And for those who are overseas, he also knows that they don't want their kids polluted either.
Now, whatever his political ideas are, he basically does not let them get in the way of making good products and also making them so that the majority of the average American will be glad to buy them and have their own familie use them.
Jobs is not going to push "political agendas" through the products that are being sold. He's knows what Americans thinks about this, and he's managing Apple and its products, in that frame of mind.
These are products that families are glad to use and which can be used in schools.
I think a lot of "complainers" are upset that their "agendas" can't be promoted through Apple and their products (like the "porn agenda" for one ...).
Another elitist punk who wants to regulate everything.
Well..., at least regulate it so that you can't get your porn through the Apple App Store, at least.
And the last time I checked... companies can control what they sell and distribute through their company ... :-)
Like Steve Jobs says, if you want your porn... just go to the Android phone and get all your porn apps there ... LOL ...
Try taking the bottle away from a drunk.
