Sad how its gotten to all of this. Amongst own states.

We've been here before. There were even fewer states last time.

They would sit in the dark.....

Nope, they would probably be out doing the looting that Americans don't want to do.

If Los Angeles wants to boycott Arizona, it had better get used to reading by candlelight.

His letter is not a threat to cut power. His letter is calling LA out to put up or shut up.

This boycott is like a Jesse Jackson hunger strike, where he doesn't eat during the day and pigs out as soon as the sun goes down.

LA is trying to hurt a few Arizona businesses, but still bellies up to the electrical power trough for all their neon lights and air conditioning.

The einsatzgruppen we saw deployed at Ruby Ridge and Waco would immediately descend on Arizona, however.

I'm starting to think that might actually be the point. Arizona has been slowly moving toward secession for several years now. But recently they've been passing several laws that go against the policies of the lefties/federales. I think they want the feds to start Civil War II, so they're goading them into taking action.

Haven’t read entire thread but wanted to post this (sorry if someone else already pointed it out).

Pres. of Mexico Calderon is on the WH lawn today bitching about the Arizona law. The Obamas are kissing up to him and allowing him to trash a U.S. state on the White House lawn in front of reporters and the world. At the same time, I see a headline that the flood of illegals crossing into the Arizona is increasing. Why would it be increasing when we are hearing that illegals are leaving Arizona because the free ride is over? It should be decreasing. New Mexico, Texas and California offer easier alternatives.

Is something going on here that Arizona should be worried about? Something more than just rhetoric?

When the real citizens in Arizona say or do anything he will use this as an excuse to impose Marshal Law there and try to suspend the November elections.

As I recall, Arizona has a law on their books that if the feds ever declare martial law, the state of Arizona automatically secedes.

Jan Brewer should call the Arizona legislature back into a special session to deal with these boycotts. The legislature needs to retaliate against these actions. The legislature should consider legal challenges to the boycotts, reverse boycotts, illegal alien transportation to the boycott cities, and taxes/fees for services that these cities must purchase such as electricity. Perhaps there is an interstate commerce issue that can be raised. A state court case could require representatives of these cities to defend their practices in Arizona court.

I’d add the caveat that they need to pay the premium up front at the beginning of the month and shut down the power if payment is late.

To: Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa

This is to inform you of the event leading up to the power outage the city of Los Angeles experienced yesterday afternoon.
It seems there was a security breach at a power station. There was an environmentally protected field mouse that slipped under the security fence 5 miles north of the power station.
Not wishing to have an endangered specie incident occur it was determined the most prudent action would be to take the power station offline. This was done until the safety of the field mouse was ascertained. I am sure you understand our actions as your state is known to be very familiar with environmental laws.
Once the field mouse was located and determined to be OK it was returned to its natural environment outside of the security fence. The power station was then placed back online.
Please be aware that this could occur again and at unpredictable times should the endangered specie wander on to the power station property.
This condition did not occur in the past as we had security people regularly patrolling the perimeter. We no longer have this luxury as the security people are no longer here; they now must patrol the southern border of the state.

You just cracked the nut! In sports it's known as flooding the zone.

Did any reporter have the pair to ask the punk from Mexico about Mexico's own draconian immigration laws? Didn't think so.

Whoa. Pierce specifically suggests cutting off power to L.A. only (far south of Fresno and FR), and that would be only 25% of power to the city. See this article: http://www.nbclosangeles.com/news/local-beat/Power-Play-Over-Immigration-Law-94251079.html
