OK, seriously, look at the pic of Michelle O. on Drudge this morning and tell me she doesn’t look like a tranny (that’s Transsexual for you squares)...

For our sake, I hope you are wrong. I am battling to keep my business alive right now, and an upturn would do wonders. I have not been optimistic about economy yet, but always hopeful . Problem is, the economic policies of this administration have never succeeded throughout history, and I doubt they will this time. We basically have a bunch of theorists from ivy league schools putting their ideas into practice in the real world. It ain’t going to be pretty.

Well, I was told that if I voted for McCain we would just have more of the worst parts of the Bush era and that we would stay bogged down in a war in the middle East and the economy would get much worse and we would go into a depression and we would have more terrorist attacks on American soil and the president would lie to us about everything all the time but I voted for McCain anyway and sure enough all those things happened.
One out of eight think he is doing a good job simply because he claims to be black. The other one out of eight think he is great because he is not Bush and not a Republican. Deep thinkers they are!
There is an empty lot on a heavily traveled street here where there used to be a mobile office for a small business selling decks, porches, storage buildings etc. A few months back they moved the mobile office and cleared out their displays but soon another little business popped up selling plants in containers, baled pinestraw etc. for landscaping. I stopped and asked the man what happened to the other business. He told me that he used to work for those folks but their business had fallen off so they had closed that location and moved everything back to another lot in a much lower rent area. He told me that he was doing OK with the landscaping supplies.
I happened to mention that the owner of the business that had closed had despised George Bush and told me that we couldn’t have a worse president, the man smiled and said that he had gotten along great with his former employer but they had disagreed twice and both times it was about politics, he said that they now have about forty percent of the business they had when the owner was so down on Bush. He seemed to be very busy selling pinestraw and such while I was there and was happy with his new business.
That was two or three months ago, now the lot is empty again and the landscaping supply business is gone.
I don’t understand why anyone ever took the “recovery” seriously.
