“The U.S. had better learn a lesson as well.”
Would it be safe to assume they have reverse engineered, or otherwise expanded for their own nefarious use, the Loral technology that good ol’Billy Clinton gave them?
This is funny. The ChiComs making subpar copies of Russian a/c, most of which were subpar copies of American a/c some of which weren’t very good to start with and were scuttled.
Eventually, the loss of precision becomes pretty serious in terms of airworthiness and I imagine the ChiComs will demonstrate that to the world from time to time.
There are only undocumented aircraft.
Sure looks like it.
Can you identify his weapon suite? Looks like one AA-8 "Aphid" in the mix, coupla AA-10 or AA-12's ..... don't have any clue on the two big ones. And an ECM/ESM pod, looks like.
What's that spiky-looking guy, an AA-11?
I wonder if the Russians are putting pencil marks on the fans of the export engines...
Reverse engineering is a form of copyright enfringement of intellectual property. China and India never invent anything, they copy everything, they steal anything that they can get their hands on, be it computer code or jet engines. Outsourcing will kill the outsourcer.
The alternative to outsourcing is protectionism which is against freedom too. Some things just can’t be made here.
You are correct, however the countries that do our outsourcing practice protectionism.
There is no simple solution for a simple reason. American lifestyle is built around a cheap consumption fed by inflating the costs of services where most population involved and a huge debt. If we want American to make things as good and cheap as Asian working for food with no union backing him we have to abolish unions and force people to work for dollar per hour. Considering we are to reject imports, keeping wages as high as is will make consumption very expensive ruining American lifestyle. Lowering wages to the third world level will finish American middle class as well.
Outsourcing production seems like a good alternative concidering it let us keep our services element at product. Any other alternative is about to make Americans poor first.
Outsourcing has it’s own risks you are mention and that Russian example shows it is real.
Also, as soon as we are loosing our industrial capabilities, Chinese are losing a wish to work for food. They have as many as 200 million people who has annual income higher than $12,000. Considering Chinese things are cost much less minus import tax and Walmart service cost there it buys as many as $36,000 in China. And it is a fantastic growth for a nation with average income of $40 just two decades ago. In a few decades their middle class will start to produce a creative people able to pay their education. They will build as advanced things as Japanese and they won’t sell it for cheap.
