That is bad news for this guy.
I hope he gets sued. ...a LOT.

Most likely that the paychecks, funded by the same people affected by this crime, kept coming.

We had a postman in town who stopped home to watch the baseball games, and didn’t deliver the mail. It was once and then repeated till, as I recall , there were 14000 pieces in his garage. I think he was prosecuted in Federal Court. The only thing anyone ever remembers about him, even though he was a hometown boy, was that he didn’t deliver the mail.

This makes me ill. Our credit was ruined by a drunken mailman 30 years ago... it never ends. Once you are in the wrong with the IRS it’s all over but the crying. This SOB needs to be in a world of hurt.

Cheer up, everyone! These are the people who will be paid $90,000 a year to decide whether your live or die! sarc

Yeah, lots of stories like that, is like they are a protected class... wait, they are!!!

Poor government-employee baby. He needs some rest and more time off. He needs a raise. Everyone need to stop complaining. If some aspect of your life was screwed-up by this guy’s irresponsibility, suck it up. Remember, he is a “public servant”. Show some respect. Maybe he can get some SSI or disabiulity. Poor baby.

Me mailed in the form, but it’s hidden in some other mailman’s attic.

Bad news that he brought on himself. He can’t be sued but he is looking at jail time. Sometimes the government lets characters like this resign and forfeit all possible benefits in lieu of prosecution. Usually alcohol or drug use are involved. But how is it that this man’s supervisors were oblivious? It went on for a considerable amount of time.
