Uhm, okay, and your interest in this matter?
You seem to have signed up for the sole purpose of debunking, in Obama’s favor.
Why?
36 hours of flights and connections isn’t too long in my books. If it took them up to a week in 1961 no big deal. Hell, I waited 2 days in a layover in 2001 for a jet to be fixed in Italy, and stayed in the airport while I waited.
Also, I am not into the Pakistan travel myth, which it is. There were most definitely warnings and International calling was restricted, at various times, but I have never seen any credible evidence that Americans were strictly forbidden.
Still, it would be easier to travel under and Indonesian passport with less scrutiny from Pakistan.
That sucks, when compared to my dumb flight from Palm Beach to Philadelphia. For some reason, I was routed to JFK, had a four hour layover and took a pond hopper over to La Guardia.
If I was sane, at the time, I should have took a train back home or rented a car, one way.
Would have been much faster.
Those Gremlins sometimes have a say in our travel plans.
To this day I think I was a dork for not saving myself hours and just taking a train or renting a car. LOL
Is it this thread?:
Is this really it? (re: possible Obama’s Kenyan B.C. - Attny Taitz)

Over 10,700 posts. I believe the info you mentioned was discussed in that thread but good luck finding it in all those pages....
Someone who I never can remember exactly (it might come to me) said his brother went to Paki around that time; and it was difficult to get a visa as an American, you had to have some business/etc to do it. It wasn’t easy but it could be done.
I wonder how a 21 or whatever he was year old guy with no reason to go could get one. Of course, he was the “protegee” or whatever of the rich Muslim guy whose name I also can’t remember, Chadoo?? So even if he had a US passpart strings could have been easily pulled/money changed hands.
But it has also been said that the State Dept (FOI?) said there is no record of him having a US passport until he was a (state?) senator.
Well, I’m a mine of non-information so it’s bedtime.
I get jarred by misinformation, and it makes me distrust other information given, especially when there are sources to get correct information. I like to read about this best when it’s fact-based. Many people on these threads do a good job of immediately debunking certain errors, usually way before I can get to the thread as I mostly have limited time. Very few debunk the other type. Do you think it serves either the eligibility argument or the discussion to let errors like the Pakistan travel ban myth be constantly repeated? I don’t.
Most of my early debunking centered on a few common errors: the Pakistan travel myth, HIPAA law, State Department policy on citizenship. I’ve gotten to enjoy the research, and started branching out. I’ve compiled an “error and myth list” and am thinking of posting it the first time in each thread I see one crop up, so just to keep things straight. And if you find something where I don’t have the facts straight, please say so I can fix it.
A 36 hour trip be a big deal to me, but then I’m not much of a traveler. The real question would be whether that information helps figure out the possibility of the Kenya trip or not.

start here and go back from this page
And another complaint: people who post images should use 300dpi as a minimum!
Most definitely several!!!
No, the Pakistan myth should not be continued but for its inconsistency of required elements to travel and that is even debatable.
Actually, his aim was to travel to the mainland in violation of the Chinese Exclusion Act for the purpose of fund raising to help the Chinese Revolution. Of course, if he had known Mao would come along, maybe he'd have cooled it.
BTW, Obama and Sun Yat Sen attended the same high school.
..and then there was this one, over eight thousand...

That thread is so stuffed full of info it boggles the mind. I remember the info from 8551 well because it related to all the Obot activity regarding Kenya not being an independent country until 1964 versus the location language on the birth certificate from Mombasa. When BP2 uncovered the info about Zanzibar’s fate being in question and that part of Kenya being particularly vulnerable if Zanzibar ran into to trouble with independence - that put the Smith obtained BC back in the column of “possibly real.”
But getting to your original query about air travel during that time, I did “go back” from that page and did not find anything that relates. What did you want us to notice?
That was before I started following the BC stuff. I’ve looked at bits and pieces of it when linked in other threads but never read through the whole thing. Bookmarked for future reading along with a bunch of others. Sigh.
LOL! I’ve been through that one I posted the link to, three times...nearly went blind and gave me a headache.
I just went thru a couple of pages and noticed how many screen names there were on it that never showed up on the later threads on BCs. I wonder what happened to those people? Did they get disgusted and just want to walk away from the topic when BO won the election anyway?
