If that were my kid, I would not rest until that driver had lost her job. And she would then consider herself lucky that I hadn’t choked her.

Looks like the Aussies have consolidated school and public bus systems. Which sounds like it makes sense until something like this happens.

The driver should be arrested for child endangerment.

There’s a mixture - lots of kids travel to school on regular buses (or trains or trams), others on buses hired as charters from the regular bus companies, some on buses belonging to their schools.
Different policies in different places on different community needs.

What kind of soulless POS could abandon and endanger that precious child? If that were my little girl someone would get hurt....
To: naturalman1975
They were probably safer crossing the freeway than on a public school bus.

Why isn't that child endangerment?
I raised my 4 boys alone. In order to be with them as much as possible, and because school bus driving paid better than ‘women's’ jobs - I drove bus. (this gave me the same hours and vacations as my boys.)
I cannot conceive of such an action. And anyone who shows such an abysmal lack of judgment does not belong in ANY job that involves children - EVER.

Why didn't the bus driver simply use the older sister's ticket? Was this the first time or the umpteenth time this card didn't work? Whatever was wrong with the card, leaving a four-year old alone is never a good idea nowadays.
Of course, when I was four, school wasn't for two more years, unless one opted to go to kindergarten.

If that were my child, I’d kidnap the driver, blindfold her, drive her to a remote mountain valley and kick that bus driver to the road. Find your way home!

This is what socialism brings. Their bus and school systems should be privatized.

Very cute little kids.
How on earth could this bus driver be so heartless?

Looks like the Aussies have consolidated school and public bus systems. Which sounds like it makes sense until something like this happens I am 60 years old and lived in NY NY for 3 years growing up. We used city buses and a bus pass in the early 1960's without a problem. This is not the vault of the system but of an damn fool driver.

I count five children, from age 13 to 4. Is that even allowed in Australia? Was this anti-large-family (anti-Christian) sentiment in action?
State run schools damage children, families, and freedom.
