Well, I bet they can’t smoke inside either.

Though this does sound far fetched. As do most things in our land today.
Hear about the GOP vice gubernatorial candidate in MA?

So if you get food stamps you can’t thank God? I guess pray to the government.
America is on its last legs. It was great for a couple of hundred years.

They should demand foot washing stations, and see what happens.

The Constitution says freedom OF religion, not freedom FROM religion!Hear! Hear!
and why is the government forcing us to practice their brand of theism? yeah, that's right, atheism is a religion: a belief concerning a supreme being, that there isn't one. It is one end of a broad spectrum of religion and needs to be treated as such. That will nip it. nip it in the bud.

So some staff from Seniors Inc. ratted on the old folks’ prayers. Wonder if there are any SEIU ties?
This will impact senior and other programs nationwide. I hope they can beat this in court, but where will the money come to represent the pray-er’s side?
How shameful.

They can’t stop them, really. What are they going to do restrain each one that folds their hands in prayer before a meal? That is exactly what I would do, and make it in their face too.

Amendment 1, U.S. ConstitutionCongress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Hmm. Once the food changes hands in exchange for the $.55, so does the ownership and all rights thereto. The seniors can do whatever they please over that food because after the transaction is complete, and they own it. The government subsidy no longer means that the government owns it at that point. The government does not subsidize the seniors, but rather the “Center” which is providing the food. So, if effect, the employees of the “Center” are the ones who are bound by this “rule”. This would be a piece of cake in court.

And now comes ObamaCare and, shortly, Single Payer. Forget about having a priest, minister or rabbi comfort your loved ones (or you) as they battle disease or face oncoming death.
No, Nurse Ratched will tell you, "The Federal government is paying for your care, so we'll have none of that religious stuff. Unconstitutional, y'know. You're allowed to be silent, but nothing else. So unfold your hands, and give me that rosary and that crucifix and-- oh no, is that a Bible? We'll have none of that round here."
Imams will still be allowed, of course.

The clause in the 1st Amendment says, Congress shall make no law, not, If Congress makes a law, the people have to change their actions and behavior to comply.
If Congress makes a law that restricts the free exercise of religion, the law is null and void. Or should be, if the USSC interpreted the Constitution properly.
