Believe it or not, one of those questions was, “Are you a terrorist?”
He obviously answered “no”
Lying on that document is enough to revoke that citizenship.
Absolutely in the old days when someone joined the military and lied on their info forms, they could be bounced out of the military and face a jail sentence.
Later on when we vetted them and ran background checks on them, any lie in those forms could result in discharge and or jail time.
Didn’t soldiers who fought for the Confederacy during the War Between the States lose their US citizenship? If they did, it seems analogous.
Anybody remember Richard Jewell? Under this blatantly unconstitutional bit of legislation he could have had his citizenship taken away.
The idea that the government can take away the citizenship of someone who has not been tried or convicted is a scary one to me. You know damn well that a corrupt administration, such as the current one, could use it on political enemies.
