If these people really want people to use less bottled water they should put some effort into make the local tap water drinkable.

Indeed. In many parts of the country tap water is little better than recycled sewage from the upstream city. I haven't drunk tap water in decades. My solution right now is a 5-stage undersink RO system plumbed to dispense drinking water and to supply the ice-maker. Needs filter changes only twice a year and costs about $35.00 for a year's supply of filters. It's always fun to show off the muddy first-stage sediment filter. The RO filter itself gets replaced about every 5 years, and it's even more fun to cut it open and show the nasty sludge inside that one. I'd love to have that stuff analyzed and see what's in it.

When you’re talking about Concord, Massachusetts, you’re talking about the lunatic fringe of the far Left. And those are the conservatives in town. End of story.

If they ever do this in San Francisco, I guess I will have to die then (or order water on the internet), because I refuse to drink the city’s tap water. It is vile.

“If they ever do this in San Francisco”

They could always make the bottles phallic shaped. Libs would never ban those.

“Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.” — C. S. Lewis

If Ted Kennedy had a bottled water, he’d be an ex-President. /sarc.
