I got better shots of the Minsk, even in color.
If that is the shot I shink it is, that was 1982 in the IO when the Minsk was transiting to PACFLT. The BUFF flew out of Diego Garcia.
One of 6 training exercises in AWUW that we held against the destroyer trailing the Minsk. [We would never target a Russian ship....]
They are under escort.
The footage just does not show them since they are in trail position...
Might be time for the U.S. to reinstate that considering what Iran is up to these days.
