this bomb doesn't meet the high degree of craftsmanship of the iraqi bombs....good bomb makers use cell phones and some sort of military explosives. Did it even dawn on this clown that military explosives are readily available in Iraq, while obtaining them here may be much more difficult, while also possibly drawing attention to themselves?

Now we know what it must have been like in the former USSR when the people turned on the “news”. If you’ve got more than a couple of brain cells and at least one synapse, the only reasonable response is “WTF”?
Essentially good journalism is rooted in facts, and only once all the facts are known is some attempt at an explanation made.
What comes out of the telescreen now is all working backwards from the regime-sanctioned answer. They figure out what the regime wants them to say and then either pick and choose from the facts that suit their purpose, or if needed, simply make the facts up (for example the “racial slurs” directed at the congressman that come to find out never in fact happened).
