got it! thank you! Still a B#$%@^D
Where was her father? Oh, never mind.
I dont think most 16-year-olds are ready. I think the age of consent should be raised to 18 at a minimum, and some girls arent even ready then, she said. People will find that odd coming from me. But I think I do know what Im talking about here. You are still a child even at 16.
Why don’t we just raise the minimum to age 30? 40 anyone? You are still a child - even at age 50!
Are there any Freepers who advocating using the UK military to storm his house and burn everyone in it?
He wasn’t 34. He was 34 years older than her when she was 13/14 and having sex with him, so 47/48 (not that it matters at that age). He is unforgivably gross, and I wish he could still be charged for his actions. She was too young to give informed consent, and I’m sure that’s why he liked her.
I agree. This lady is dumb. She sounds like she still hasn’t grown up.
One problem is that people tend to go all the way to marriage in a rush without allowing any time for problems and impediments to arise first. These will come up eventually and while being married does convey some strength to stand up to them, if one is not tested first and does not really know the spiritual strength of one’s spouse, then the obstacles are going to loom larger and be more maritally destructive than otherwise.
Much better to allow a time to pass before making any such decision. And it wouldn’t hurt, once the decision to marry is made, to consult a spiritual counselor.
Somehow I just knew she had daddy issues.
He was 48 and she was fourteen. Incredible.
So the age of consent was/is 16, she had sex at 14, but thinks if the consent law had been 18 she wouldn’t have? I don’t think a new law is the answer here.
She is just another symptom of the break down of the family.
Not sure what a “lost childhood” means.
Or what the point is of being celibate at 39.
It should be noted that Age of Consent does not restrict/protect underage people from sex or stupidity at all.
It just restricts the choices of someone who is over-age.
But Bill Wyman was obviously immature and unable to handle himself or marriage at 48.
Maybe everybody should stay celibate to 65, if not longer.
If priests can be prosecuted 40 years after the fact, how about Wyman?
Just some things to think about.
“It wasn’t stolen - she gave it away.”
She was 13 when she started dating him, and 14 when she had intercourse, AND she had no father around. Labeling her as ‘at fault’ is ridiculous. People make mistakes. Children are likely to make more, which is why they have parents to help.
That is sad.
Some boys and many girls are not only capable of being married at puberty, but really need to go ahead and start their lives.
Anyhow, no. Now, if then was now, and I was her father...... it'd take SWAT, some firefighters, and a crack team of surgeons to 1. Arrest me 2. Extinguish my "gifts" to him and 3. Put humpty pervert back together again..... wood chippers are effective; a dremel is more personal.
But, per her story her "father" stepped out when she was 3. This sick demented 48 year old @@@@ took advantage of her; Her father wasn't around to stick up for her.
Spreading your legs is not a "mistake". Keep em closed.
Isnt it amazing how often stories saying:
1. I did this of my own FREE will.
2. In retrospect I regret what I did or it did not work out for me.
3. NOW PASS A LAW SO OTHER PEOPLE CAN NOT EXERCIZE THEIR FREE WILL
draw sympathetic responses on FREErepublic? She did in fact give away he childhood. It had nothing to do with the famous guy she is now using to promote her agenda. She gave away her childhood when she decided at age 13 that hanging around in bars was better than playing with friends her own age.
Had she never met Wyman she was still in the same place. That relationship led to marriage so while there was a large age difference and led to a quick divorce ala many celeb marriages, it was hardly purely exploitive.
Most likely her reason for being celibate is her realizing she doesn’t have the ability to have a healthy relationship. That can be put at the feet of her absent father. Young girls need a father as much, if not more, than young boys to keep things like this from happening.
