The Ghost of Ngo Dinh Diem - Is Obama Making the Mistakes That JFK Made?

And Charlie Cook's report doesn't mention the economy or foreign affairs.

Charlie Cook must be on mind altering drugs of some kind! I should support CommieCrate representative, in order to oust CommieCrate-In-Chief?

If he loses in Nov he will spend the next two years ranting and raving about Republican obstructionism in every paper, every news show, Every Sunday morning, late night tv, reapetedly, etc, etc, etc 24/7, ervery channel, every where you look.

It’s going to be pathetic.

Thoughts?

I’m torn on the GOP winning outright majorities in both chambers; it gives Soetoro something to run against in 2012.

I think if Obama loses his ego is likely to make him lose it more than once and show America just waht a nasty little man he is! His complaints will begin to look very vindictive.

This assumes a premise that Obama will be able to provide the reqired public disclosure of eligibility to appear on their ballots that some states not require, and more are working on.

IMHO, that is not a good assumption. If he can't provide that proof of eligibility to run in 2012 then he doesn't have any incentive to back off of the radical agenda.

The second contention is that losing control of the House would allow (or force) Obama to take a more centrist approach,

This will never happen. Obama is too much of a radical.

to replicate the “triangulation” that worked well for Clinton in 1995 and 1996.

An awful lot of the Contract with America became law. He capitulated (for the most part) and got re-elected.

Well, the Repubs winning big in ‘94 tempered Bubba’s agenda and made him move to the center, then he won in ‘96; I wonder if a similar thing would happen with the electorate believing congress would keep the president in check for this go-round. I don’t think the public was as displeased with Clinton as they are with Obama, however. Either way, it should be interesting.

The smirk he was so trying to hide right before his passing HC statement made me sick.

He will snap, i Believe the man is unstable.

First, we’ve got to stop the bleeding. That means getting control of Congress. Two years is a lifetime in politics. Also, the Bamster isn’t as smart as Billy Jeff. OTOH, if the Republicans run out another corpse like McCain (or Dole) all bets are off.

If the GOP wins and starts obstructing Barry’s communist agenda, he’s going to be out there whining and getting angry. I think that is going to turn a lot of voters off. Just my opinion.

I am total convened that is the dems retain control of the the house and senate in November we as a country are through. At least if the repubs win, we still have a slim chance to turn it around.

Clinton won in 96 because the GOP offered Bob “it’s my turn” Dole.

The president's chances of getting re-elected might well rise if the House flips.

Please, please don't throw me in that briar patch!

His chances of re-election in 2012 will be ZERO if he is impeached, tried and convicted by a Republican Congress and Senate, IMHO. Also, Hilary will smell blood in the water at the slightest slip up, so watch her to resign SOS post in mid 2011 to position herself for the nomination. If Obama were impeached, she would most definitely take on President Biden for the mantle, no doubt about it. In fact I am sure they have this all well scenario’ed out.
