We are the higher-educated middle-class general public.

They are old enough to remember living in a free country and have guilt about not paying attention to what has been going on.

This is horsesh*t. I know more women who are really pissed off at the DemocRATS right now than I do “white males”. The ‘RATS better figure that out quick. Or maybe they already have.

The NYT could interview 30,000 TEA Partiers and still know nothing about them. They cannot imagine people like me and others who are involved in wanting a smaller government, less taxes and believe in the Constitution.

And while most Republicans say they are dissatisfied with Washington, Tea Party supporters are more likely to classify themselves as angry. With the primary difference being the Tea Party supporters are paying attention. Everyone else would classify themselves as angry if they were awake and paying attention as well.

Another Kate Zernike “smear” piece. She must be the Times favorite “smearmeister” now. She did it to the Swift Boat Veterans for the Truth About John Kerry, so why not use her to attack the Tea Party people?
Thanks to Obama and his marxist minions and congressional asskissers, I’m now a parttime employee, lost all work benefits, and have been denied life insurance due to a heart condition. (Yesterday I filled and lifted file boxes that collectively weighed about 700 lbs. I’m fitter than the clown who denied me life insurance).
Yes, NY Times. Keep smearing people like me. Meanwhile, my dog will keep smearing your newspaper with the good stuff.
As for Zernike, a leftist smear-artist like you would have lasted 5 minutes in Vietnam before one of our troops would have shot you for treason.

Perhaps Tea Party members are justified in being angry, after all, when you’ve worked your way through college, paid back any loans, owned and operated small businesses that employees people, then they’re told their “wealth” will be redistributed and their healthcare in soon approaching old age will be rationed in another “wealth” redistribution scheme, what can you expect?

Does the NYT really think any one is going to believe that it would report on the Tea Party movement in a credible, fair and impartial manner? Why do they waste the ink and paper? The people who read the rag have made their minds up, and the people who don’t read it aren’t going to be persuaded by anything the NYT and SeeBS comes up with.

Tea Party supporters are also more likely than most Americans to believe, mistakenly, that the president has increased taxes for most Americans.
Mistakenly? All this guy has done is raise taxes on everything.
But while most Americans blame the Bush administration or Wall Street for the current state of the American economy, the greatest number of Tea Party supporters blamed Congress.
Because we all know that Congress has nothing to do with the downturn....
