How would Sarah, at this point in time, benefit from “attacking” the moderate-right portion of the right side of the political spectrum?
How would her losing the moderate’s votes advance the overall agenda of electing her to the Presidency of the US Government. How can you govern with a Conservative Perspective if you lose the general election?
Sarah best serves Conservatives by not alienating the moderates on the right (or left) while at the same time holding the Liberal/Radical/Socialist Dems feet to the fire.....when she is President she can lead the country to the the more generally accepted conservatism, and hopefully Conservatism.....
Sarah has her eye on the ball, and is not distracted by the heckler in the seats behind the dugout.....
And Alan Keyes is complaining/offering advise? How many elective offices has he held?
Reagan’s strategy of courting the moderates in order to win at the ballot box, and thereby gaining him the “Bully Pulpit” to promote Conservatism in government is a proven winner.....get your teeth out of Sarah’s ankles, complainers!

Why not run Alan? Because he did such a great job when he ran for the Senate in Illinois?

I guess Keyes is getting a lot of attention by attacking St Sarah.
And I guess if she is going to be a real St she requires an advocatus diaboli

You’re forever sidelined in the political arena.
Lonely out there. Just howling voices that don’t matter.

The woman supported and aided and abetted a known open borders, pro amnesty politician.
Youre forever sidelined in the political arena.
It don't matter, ya see I'm not the issue.
As I said, you and your groupies will just have to deal with it by name calling and or attacking others that have no desire to compromise their principles.
Good luck!
To: dragnet2
You don’t have any principles. You lost that claim with your support of the Stormfront candidate. Like I said, you don’t matter. Keep howling. Nobody cares. You leave here every night beaten to a pulp and usually by women...lol.

Palin expands her position on Illegal Immigration
Palin: we need to close the borders. They are called illegal aliens for a reason and if they are not going to follow the rules they should not be in our country.
Its pretty simple I ratched that one down to the simple answer because its an easier answer than some politicians want it to make it be. you close the borders.
You get more agressive about cracking down on the illegal aliens and we take it serious what our border patrol officers are trying to do
December 2009
Lars Larson radio talk show
LARS: The amnesty proposal that was defeated in Congress in your view, was that amnesty for illegals and would you back amnesty for a path to citizenship, as the current president calls it?
SARAH PALIN: No, Im not for amnesty. Lets ratchet this down quite simply to remember what were referring to. Illegal aliens are called illegal for a reason.
We need to secure our borders and I am not for amnesty. And there are humane ways to deal with the 11-13 million illegal aliens who are in our country right now, but if theyre not going to follow the rules, they need to get out.

That again??
Stop with that bull crap.
That interview audio was about 15 minutes long and she spent like 5.6 seconds with that comment and they immediately went onto other softball, non-issues...I actually took the time to listen to it.
What happened since that obscure interview, where she went and who she supported tells the real story, not a 5 second soundbite.

onyx, rabscuttle385 is not the only person here questioning the temperament of Palin's followers, or the judgment and qualifications of Palin herself.
The skeptics and critics comprise a very diverse group - many of whom vehemently disagree with one another on other topics.
There are many many Palin supporters who advocate for their candidate and they do it with enthusiasm and with respect. I'd like to think that comprises the majority of Sarah's followers here on FR.
There is however, the type of extreme supporter of Sarah, what I might call the 'Ugly Palinista', this is the radical sort of person who will countenance NO criticism of Sarah whatsoever, any person who dares to question her judgment is smeared with any label they can lay their hands on, they are attacked without mercy, the ad hominems fly freely, and it turns ugly immediately.
And you know what? That is the EXACT same kind of behavior that we have seen time and time again from the intolerant 0bamunist-cult followers who drank the Kenyan Koolaid early on, and anyone who isn't worshiping 0bama MUST be disloyal, fascist scum.
Conservatives (REAL conservatives) are better than that. The majority of Palin supporters who don't engage in the personal attacks but are able to discuss the issues surrounding Sarah Palin, issues that are subject to legitimate debate, without the hysterics and hostility, need to rein in their more radical brethren.

Ah tell ya what Mr. SoCaLPol....And the rest of your political groupies..
Ya get Ms. Palin on audio saying:
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
1. I am totally against McCain's past or present support of amnesty and open border policies.
2. I will never support an amnesty.
3. If elected, I will fight for strict immigration reforms and securing our borders will be one of my top national security priorities. I totally support the Arizona lawmakers that have recently approved a bill which will allow police officers to determine whether suspects are in the United States legally.
4. If elected I will support and encourage strict new criminal and civil laws and penalties directed at employers, that will prosecute employers, seize their assets, businesses, fine them and jail them for repeated offenses and knowingly hiring illegal aliens. I want new mandatory employer standards, which I will support and help enacted where employers will be required to confirm an individuals right to legally work in this country.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++<
You show me the audio of her saying this in a speech or interview, and see gets my vote and support.

"Just curious, what moves has she made that in your opinion were not career motivated?"
I am not so sure that support for Rand Paul is a calculated career move. Given who her base is, an argument can be made that support for McCain and Graham are not calculated career moves. If they are, they are not calculated very well. Again, I am not denying that what you said may have validity, just that there are some moves which appear no to fit the template. You very well might be right. My concern is here positions on various issues. In critiquing those positions, I am willing to give here the benefit of the doubt on what her personal motivation may be.
Others on this site have pointed out that her fiscal record, both as Mayor and then as Governor, is not the consistent fiscally conservative record that some would have us believe. There has also been some discussion on the ambiguity surrounding her stance on illegal immigration. There are a few other issues that I would like to see get more discussion before conservatives see in her the leader of the movement.
One such issue is her support for the Law of the Sea Treaty in which she basically blew off the concerns over sovereignty issues expressed by its opponents. Another is the positive support her selection by McCain met with by the National Education Association of Alaska and there stated reason for their positive views of her. I am also not happy with her support for the Bush bailout both before and after the election. I have seen quotes from her book where she goes so far as to criticize the GOP members of Congress who opposed this policy as hurting the cause. The truth of the matter, in my opinion, is that the embrace of the bailout is what hurt the cause.
For the most part I have stayed out of the pro and con Sarah threads because she has not even announced that she is running and I am more focused on the 2010 elections. I am a little perplexed that so many conservatives look to her as our top leader when she is so inconsistent on major conservative issues. Even McCain reversed his support for the Law of the Sea Treaty when he ran for office. I have yet to see her do the same. While she supported the Bush bailout, other brave conservatives in the House fought against it and she seems to have thrown them under the bus. I really would like to see more discussion on these matter.

Approximately one hour before this thread was posted last night, the boss pulled a similar thread with one comment...."enough!"
That shows absolutely no respect for the owner of this site.
The owner, BTW, supports Sarah Palin but I know you haven't forgotten....you just don't care.
