We are lucky that this vote is happening during an election year, Hayworth said. Those are the brief periods when John wakes up and listens to his constituents. But we still need to keep the pressure on him to do what is right, because while his campaign advisors are going to be telling him to vote like a conservative for a few more months, the honest appraisal from his former campaign confidant reveals a great deal about how John McCain would vote if he thought nobody was watching.
J.D. is right.
Is J.D. getting any traction?
Sure hope that J.D. offers to debate either the “live” McNasty or just a full sized card board figure.... play the tell tail quotes and let McNasty squirm.
Hillary Clinton not chosen as possible Supreme Court nominee
Hillary Clinton, Supreme Court Nominee? White House Says 'No'
This rumor was started by that buffoon Orrin Hatch yesterday.
JD needs to verify his sources better.
Good for J.D.
If anyone can defeat McStupid, it’s him.
Looks like J.D. has his own version of Straight Talk.
On the other hand, if Obama has lost three engines and the fourth is on fire in 2012, as many of us hope, Hillary is the only Democrat who could take him on and possibly win a general election. Might not be such a bad idea to take her off the board.
Just thinking out loud.
I think JD’s point goes beyond this particular rumor, and voters will understand it.
He really needs to start offering solutions on the issues and what he would do for the people of AZ. Going after McCain is fine, but he should do it by contrasting his goals with McCain's past. Attacking McCain like this will backfire.
Quote:
...the guy who would have a really tough position would be John McCain whos down there in a tough re-election battle, but he really likes Hillary and I know hed want to vote for her.
Now, given that McCain said in 2005 that
I really would like to hear what McCain has to say in the day and age of Obama, Pelosi, and Read about Secy. Clinton.
Agreed. There ain’t gonna be no Hillary nominated to the SC so the whole thing just made him look silly; maybe even a little desperate.
What he should have done with this Supreme Court thing is talk about the need to confirm only strict constructionists and reject radical leftists. Say that as your Senator, I will not vote for radical justices without mentioning McCain.
Unfortunately, the real world isn't FR. People still see McCain as an elder statesman and not the notorious turncoat as we do. When they see Hayworth continuously attacking McCain they're going to get turned off. That internet ad by McCain was devastating, because the narrative shows JD as an unhinged kook.
It’s time for vets to designate McCain as a traitor and dump the SOB.
And no, I’ve never been a POW.
So if your military credentials are better than mine, step forward and defend McCain.

And no, I don’t feel good about declaring McCain a traitor.
In fact, I feel disgusted.
I’d hate but love to see a live televised debate between JD and McCain with gloves off as much as possible. I figure McCain is plumb wacko and would be rolling the marbles around in his hand, gone totally Queeg, before it was over. The audience would be stunned to uncomfortable silence, and John would be going home. I think that would be a good thing. Sad way to bring it about, but madness is in the air in DC.
JD has the support of the base. We’re the ones who vote. He’s a great speaker. I’m going to a private reception for him next month. Can’t wait!
You don’t even live here in AZ, so what the hell are you talking about. He IS speaking our language, from immigration to health care.
That is good to hear, but EE Extremists makes a good point. I hope JD beats him soundly.
Why is this a misstep? It point out the truth that McCain is very friendly with Hillary and ALL the other Progressives in Congress. People need to be reminded of that all the time. He has been there far to long and has become just like them. He has been corrupted by power. JD’s point seems to underscore that to me.
