Bush was selected by Evangelicals to represent the Republican party in 2000. I wonder if they'll have as much luck with Romney in 2012.

Most of the Evangelicals I know are against Romney because they believe Mormanism is a cult.

Mit will be the one that the GOP will try to force down our throats in 2012.
He's far too 'squishy moderate' for me.

No, that’s just a Romney front group paying to bus in people to vote for him. His handlers may have decided Mormons for Romney wouldn’t go over as well at the SRLC.

I've got news for you, those aren't Evangelicals, and what's with the knock anyway on Evangelicals, they are part of a reliable faction of the base.

I will sit the election out if Romney is the candidate. No longer will I hold my nose and vote!

Romney’s association with socialized medicine is enough to sink his ship with most of the public. IF republican challengers are savvy enough to publicize it.

There is no point in conservatives winning if Willard ends up in the White House. He will simply sellout conservatives whenever he thinks it is politically expedient to do so.
But, evangelicals and pro-lifers that stopped Romney in 2008. No one that is pro-life or opposed to same-sex marriage supports this phony. So, I question how evangelical those voting supporting Romney are.

Mitt: Enjoy the “victory”. These straw polls will be the only victories for you this time around. Closet socialists won’t pass the sniff test this time. The fact you “won” under a false front group “Evangelicals” further emphasizes how you are buying votes. You beat Ron Paul by one vote: another vote buyer.
I have a suggestion for these straw polls: if group vote purchasing occurs, the candidate should be disqualified and removed from the list.

RomneyCARE-creator, vote-buying, Mitt Romney:
Now that Romneycare is national, ready to hurt
three hundred million, a little self examination is in order for you.
You may want to ask yourself if I had spent my time promoting
RomneyCare and Mitt Romney, could not I have garnered more support
of both Mr. Obama and Gov. Mitt Romney?
Romney praises Obama again
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney praised President Obama
at a GOP fundraising dinner Wednesday ..
"I also think it's important for us to nod to the president when he's right," Romney said....
Romney, who spoke at a dinner for the National Republican Senatorial Committee,
said he's pleased with the president's plans to "finish the job" in Iraq and Afghanistan
-- lines that drew applause from the partisan audience. He also applauded the president
for standing up to the auto industry.
"I hope he continues to be tough ....The former businessman even offered faint praise for
Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner, saying that after a series of initial missteps,
"I think he's finally getting close to the right answer."
