I searched the net and found nothing on this announcement. However, President and Mrs. Bush already have Secret Service protection, at least for the next ten years. They are also allotted a travel budget if they wish to use it, so as private citizens if they desire to go to Poland for the obsequies, no one can stop them from doing so.

Thanks for searching. I did the same thing, but it wouldn’t be an ‘announcement’..it would be a leak. The truth will rise to the surface soon. This would not be the first time that Obama threatened to take away Bush’s secret service protection. He did it when he first came into office if I remember correctly. Obama is a punk thug!

Which is a nice way of saying that the press is there at all times in case something happens and the president buys the farm.
I posted it because it surprised me that he made a statement like that. He only used "I" once in it. I guess he couldn't figure out a way to make it about himself, and he didn't care to know the Polish president enough for a mini-vignette.
Had to stop off to get his payoff for the current Poland crisis...
