Sgt. Gary Haston of the Williamson County Sheriff’s Department — the officer whose testimony appears on the original search warrant affidavit — actually claims he observed the children “crying for no reason” as armed officers invaded their home.

This guy is a total piece of crap. He should be thrown off the force and bared from ever again doing police work of any kind.

Cops like this give all cops a bad name. The good cops in his department should be busting their butts to get him off the force.

Why is the Travis County DA involved in a Williamson County matter, or the Williamson County Sheriff in a Travis County matter.

This isn’t about “the authorities” in Williamson County, this is about the child’s biological father using these charges to try to rescue his child from living with a pair of addle-pated druggies.

It is logical to say that there are parents who smoke pot...and are still good parents. Someone who disagrees with that premise is not seriously understanding the issue. You can’t just put people in jail because they smoked a joint. It’s ridiculous. If on the other hand the person smoked a joint and proceeded to shoot his neighbor; you would then have a crime. If a guy smokes a joint and then sits on the couch to eat a bag of potato chips; you do not have a crime. You have a guy sitting on the couch eating potato chips. Why would you send police officers to bring this man to jail? Do you get a sense of what I mean?

Remember, Hitler was about as sober as they come: teetotaler, non-smoker, and at times committed vegetarian. It didn’t really seem to sway his moral compass. People can use drugs and remain decent humans. They shouldn’t be jailed. They are sick. They need help.
