Altough she took First Place in her region, she was not allowed to go to State Science Fair -- because fifth graders are ineligible to compete at the State level... :-( Then probably the best science of all won't be featured at the state competition. It's their loss....
Still, this is aggravating....

Although she took First Place in her region, she was not allowed to go to State Science Fair — because fifth graders are ineligible to compete at the State level... :-( P.S.: While hissing and booing in my last, I forgot to ask — So who got to go to the "party" — the state science fair — because a wildly successful (99 out of 100 ain't exactly bad) fifth-grader had to stay home by bureaucratic fiat? And what is this person's science project all about? How did it rate in the preliminary judging?
I wonder whether the school district/region has sent its best candidate to the state competition.
I guess we'll see — because you, dear TXnMA, will keep us up-to-date on such matters!!! (Please!!!)
