Rashon East, 34, of New Brunswick, climbed through a McDonald's drive-thru window and slapped a worker apparently because thought he was waiting for a Filet-o-Fish. (Photo Courtesy South Brunswick Police).
East turned himself in, charged with simple assault and making terroristic threats, a 3rd-degree indictable offense w/ a sentence of up 5 years in prison. East served 30 months in state prison from 1996-98 for a drug conviction, according to the state Dept of Corrections.
East felt intense pressure to surrender because of the massive media attention. East's family, and his children, saw him on the news and encouraged him to give up.

I’m glad Rashon was presuaded to do the right thing. Maybe they’ll reward him with Filet-o-Fish sandwiches in prison for the next 20 years as his reward.
Thanks for the update, Liz.
That’s just wack. On the other hand, five years in prison for slapping someone without any really serious injury is also wack. I guess it’s fair to say he “entered”, but did not “break and enter.”
Socially, this country has already gone to hell in a handbasket. So, how’s that self-esteem movement in the schools doing for ya, NEA? Is this the end product you envisioned?
what a freaking idiot, i bet he’s an ex-con...
