The black secretary of state from Ohio, was my preferred choice. I don’t know, there was just something about the fact that Steele’s sister was once married to Mike Tyson that just sent up all these warning signals. I know that it had nothing to do with Michael Steele, but they grew up in the same home.

>.Steele was an obvious choice to eliminate the racist charges the dems were certainly planning.

LOL! So fear of the Democrats and a desire to pander made the GOP nominate an empty suit.

That’s Resolution, Strength, Standing on Priniciple.

Your statement is far more damning of the Party than putting a sex club visit on the books.

Next time, use personal cash, buckos.

Dirtkid, I’d like to find out how the Rats are getting around before condemning the GOP too much. It could be worse, such as private corporate jets which wouldn’t show up as an expense on their accounts.

Yeah I understand what you’re saying. We need a new leader but not because of $200 in booze. Mostly because he’s not the right person for the job. The local GOP is very conservative and we are taking more influence at the state level. Hopefully we can carry that up to the national.

What part of this are you not getting here? I sincerely HOPE the Dems are wasting boatloads of money - that is less for their candidates. But I want the RNC to get the most out of donor dollars as far as what goes to candidates - and taking private jets and limos does not accomplish such.

For all we know, the GOP and Rats travel in similar ways, except the Rats have corporate donors that contribute “in kind” services (e.g. corporate jets) and the GOP is avoiding it because it looks bad. We also need to look at the reasons. If it is just because GOP bigwigs want to travel in state, there is room to economize. But if it is to avoid the gantlet of Ratty TSA processing, baggage handlers, etc. who might really screw up a GOP mission, it might be worth it.

Unfortunately, this is another example of how a lot of conservatives are falling for the Dems “divide and conquer” strategy to ensure their win and continued unchecked control of the country.

Well, just how conservative are these "conservatives?" Ronald Reagan is generally acknowledged to be the last conservative president and he was the one who invoked "the 11th commandment."

When I looked through the many disturbing posts on the first page of comments of this thread, calling Steele the "Republican Obama" and expanding on the allegations to make him look like a perv, in no way could I call these people conservatives or even patriots.

I'm not sure of the composition of posters on the site at this time, but I see a lot of incendiary and outright ignorant comments. Most of all, I see very little that is constructive for recovering and preserving the original intent of this nation.

I saw not one post vs. Dems and their agenda.

You are a bald-faced liar. I've made plenty of such posts.

Most distinctly, you are a defender of the Tea Party vs. Republicans and you refer to the candidate you are supporting as a Tea Party candidate.

He also happens to have the endorsement of the county GOP. Is that pubbie enough for you, liar?

Furthermore, it does look like you and other Palin fans are working towards a 3rd party and, in the meantime, doing all you can to destroy the Republican Party.

Find ONE POST over the last year where I have promoted a third party, liar.

The lies just pass so easily through your keyboard. Let's see if you can substantiate them.

OK, liar, just did a real quick scan, and here are threads where I made anti-Dem or anti-lib or anti-MSM comments just going back a little over a week.

I see you got my post #290 removed. How cute.
Anyone can look at your posting history as I did and see what is there, endless attacks on GOP, Republicans, whoever you think is a RINO. And that is the truth, unless you want to have your posts removed. It was so easy to have my post to you removed and I was only stating fact.

However, here is a good lie: You are nice to many of the other posters you comment to.

Generally, making bald-faced lies about other posters is frowned-upon at FR.

Anyone can look at your posting history as I did and see what is there, endless attacks on GOP, Republicans, whoever you think is a RINO.

Let's see. I got after the RNC over the last couple of days for what I think is wasteful use of funds that could go towards candidates - that is hardly anti-GOP, to the contrary, I see it as pro-GOP WINNING elections.

And I bashed Mitt Romney, which is well in-line with the founder of this website's views on Mitt. I guess a shill like you doesn't like that, but I must be over target if I'm bothering you. Guess what? Mitt getting the nomination in 2012 would lead to an even bigger loss than we saw in 2008 with McCain - I would end up having to vote for Mitt, but it would be a losing cause. So, once again, ripping into Mitt now, before he can hijack the 2012 primaries, makes me pro-GOP-winning again.

Meanwhile, your method, of trashing those maiing legitimate criticisms of the GOP establishment and treating the grassroots like suckers at a carney to be lied to and ripped off, led directly to the GOP losing power in 2006. So yours is the way of losers.

And that is the truth, unless you want to have your posts removed. It was so easy to have my post to you removed and I was only stating fact.

No, you lied through your teeth that I made no posts getting after the Dems, when I have shown clearly that is false. You are so addled you can't even discern what is truth any longer.

However, here is a good lie: You are nice to many of the other posters you comment to.

I'm nice to posters worthy of such treatment. You, however, are worthy only of contempt.

Oh, and by the way ... LIAR ... I liked it that Scott Brown won in Massachussetts, because I realize he's about the best we'd get in a Senate race in that state, so I don't just automatically run around calling candidates RINOs. But those kind of views are not suitable for a national candidate, the way Mitt is trying to be - and Mitt is too wrapped up in defending his Romneycare legacy to be an effective candidate against health care reform (let alone his many flip-flops on social issues).

So I am quite capable of making discerning judgements about given pubbies in given situations - unlike you, who appears to be on FR solely to apologize for pubbie trangressions and attack those who dare point out the flaws of the GOP establishment.

Once again a Lie is half way around the World before the Truth gets it’s boots on.

Shame on those who are so quick to “lynch” Chairman Steele before the details are known. Of course some prefer an “also ran” GOP and the phony “moral satisfaction” of “losing gracefully” while not getting their hands dirty doing the hard work of raising funds.

Obviously someone used poor judgment in even going to this establishment while on GOP business (let alone submitting an expense receipt documenting it), but certainly shouldn’t be an indictment against Chairman Steele’s performance or the rest of the GOP staff, who would never have considered attending such a place.

So spoil the whole barrel of Republicanism for the stupidity of one consultant and enjoy losing the one chance of saving this nation from socialism. It’s the only truly Conservative thing to do. /sarc

“Mike DeMoss, a longtime RNC donor, told Politico that, “The RNC cannot attack Democrats for how the government spends taxpayer money when it is spending Republican donor money recklessly. Recent RNC spending stories suggest a tone-deafness at best and a misappropriation of funds at worst.”
