I wonder if SS recipients also get dinged for this unless they opt out. If so, the members of that group who are somewhat less mentally aware will be unlikely to opt out. Don't worry, Obama will find a way to spend the money they collect.

These three orgs I believe may qualify for the exemption. One Freeper has told me good things about the first one, Samaritan Ministries. I believe one of the rules is that the health sharing org has to have been operating since 1999. It is the same rule that exempts the Amish.

I agree, and I’ve said it over and over. However, many are doing this. It will be interesting to see how taxes collected this year compare to other years. I suspect is it going to be devastatingly low and it won’t all be due to unemployment.
MANY in our town are going to cash. Our appliance repairman gives a 10-20% discount if you pay in cash. Our landscaper is also now asking for cash and doing what he used to do for 100. for 75.00 if you pay cash. A lot of people that giving discounts on rentals for payment in cash. I notice in our business many more people are paying with cash. I think many have taken their money out of 401K’s, IRA’s and money markets because it seems everyone all of a sudden in the past year seems to always have plenty of cash on hand.
Yep, if this is not repealed we will be Panamanians.
Long term care is like unassisted living. You can get around by yourself but you need to have attendants nearby. So you live in a facility that is like apartment living.
Then there is assisted care. You can live by yourself but you can’t attend to daily life on your own. You need help dressing, bathing, etc.
Think “old folks’ home”
God how I hope to never audibly hear that term again from that RINO.
