PS: I agree, this is going to pit us against each other like never before for years to come.

If you notested that the Europeans and Canadian country’s with theses pervasive programs the people are not quite as nice, and the reason is rather simple.

Every one of them with a brain knowns that everyone else has he power thou their poor choices to hurt them in higher taxes due to the common health-care.

Liberals don’t understand human nature in almost any respect including among those respects the natural resentment of injury.

More significant is the hostile State mandates, that forcefully removed the only economic advantage the freer states have over the dieing northern states in terms of forcing feerer southern and western States to adopt the self-destructive welfare programs of the northern and new England States distorting our economic advantage brought about by THEIR poor choices! As they are forcing the same on us.

Liberals are doing this for the same reason they do all their big government moves, they want a monopoly. They see the natural market forces attempting to evade their socialist economic policy’s as being the cause for their socialist economic policy’s collapse rather then a symptom.

So they try to use the gun of government to force everyone to follow their self-destructive rules. As they amount to the self-destructive wealth-redistribution(thief) that is their ultimate goal.

It is only natural that people would resent this injury to their rights by others, indeed for liberalism to even be successful they must convene people that the injury is being done to them by the so call wealthy and thus this is only justice.

Their argument falls apart, when it is confronted with the failure in isolation. This is why we MUST push for States rights as our only long term solution. We must force them to build a successfully isolated commune where they cant clam others are arming them and prove that it is indeed their system that is harming the people!

We must highlight the very real Federal Government thief from ourselves and our states, working to effect thief “social justice”

To win this war we must undermined their ability to blame others for their problems by our and their separation and isolation!

True, the Confederates fired the first shots. However, I respectfully disagree with the rest of your assessment. Instead of throwing a temper tantrum the Southern states simply sought to free from a government which did not work for them. They did not want to war with the Northern states instead they sought a peacful resolution to a situation which had become untenable for them. The Union refused a peaceful solution. At what point was secession declared unconstitutional? Therin lies the answer. And the sad fact is the stakes were exceedingly high.....ungodly high.

i maximize the use of my wi-fi laptop & pay 35$ a mo for the connection. Sometimes i’ll watch movies for free-i did debate on Nextflix but for now-there’s plenty to do & listen to & read about w/o having a tv.

Do i miss tv? sometimes i do ‘cause there were a few shows that i enjoyed watching but over time i realized that i wasn’t missing much (the entertainment value decreased over time less watched) . IF i do occassion to watch I’ll say i really go for some of the cooking shows.

Having the i-net at my fingertips is so much more

So who is our modern John Brown?

The equivalent does not yet exist. There will come a day when one of the several States asserts it right to refuse federal socialism. Then an agent of the feds (official or unofficial) will come to that State to assert socialism by means that are illegal in that State. That person will be arrested, tried and convicted by the State. He will become the poster boy of the feds. That person will be the modern John Brown.

Had Beauregard not fired on Sumter, but instead opted to “starve out” the garrison (i.e., blockade the fort), how would that have been different? A blockade is an act of war as much as firing cannon is. And don’t misunderstand me: I would have fired on Sumter, as well. When Lincoln in reality provoked the Charleston batteries into firing — which was his intent — he in essence started the hostilities.

...the coming Civil War Two will be race war...tribal wars of secession and partition are a global reality...why wouldn’t they come here too?

I agree in your analysis, post War of Northern Agression. Your thoughful insight, tying of the ends, are appreciated. I, however, disagree that this is the “END result”.

If you think about it, the only reason for a government to build such an onerous bill is to enslave “we the People”.

We cannot any longer starve, courtesy of Wilson, Fort Sumpter (District of Columbia).

Keep your powder dry!

Secession does not mean war. Secession means to leave an organization. As an act, it is war neutral. The reaction to that act by the organization left may or may not cause war.

I don't think that would happen this time. I think the pro socialists would want the more conservative states to leave. I think our federal republic is that fragile.

Where does it say that secession is now constitutional? As I see it, the whole Federal Government has dis-regarded our Constitution. So, I don’t care if secession is “unconstitutional” because they don’t follow the constitution NOW.... What say you?

I totally agree with you! The Federal Government has ignored our Constitution for too long. Pretty much everything they do is unconstiutional to a degree. My post with the question you highlighted was simply making a point about what actually started the Civil War. You know, the old who started the war thing.

Indeed. I agree — Lincoln started the hostilities — he provoked them. But history (at least popular “revisionist” history) does not remember it that way — and the Union certainly didn’t portray it that way.

It’s not fair — but appearances count. It is better to refuse provocation and instead ALLOW yourself to be struck by the first blow. It creates an atmosphere and attitude of sympathy, or at least a modicum of understanding. That’s at least part of the difference between what happened in 1775, and 1861.

Sorry, didn’t mean to hijack your thread with a discussion on who started the Civil War. But, my point remains the same, secession from the Union was not litigated until Texas V. White in 1868. The Civil war years were 1861 - 1865. IMHO both sides were wrong. Then, as now, it was an issue of States rights versus Federal Government.

Sports is where the money is. Each lib networks has sports channels. The sports makes the money so they can spew propganda.

Sadly even conservatives do not get the connection. They think if they watch Fox/Saudia that everything will be alright.

TV gives the libs control over the country. If we dare speak up they smear and attack us. Sort of like the cheating husband (Tiger) when they get confronted and he tells the wife she is crazy. This is what he did to Elin.

TV makes conservatives battered housewives and serfs.

"The conclusion of the last “civil war” actually set us on the course and lead us to the place we are today. We are just 150 years further along the road to Central/Statist control over our affairs. Washington DC has repeatedly tried to push that control to it’s logical extremes...

After the Civil War, there was Reconstruction, then the Progressive Movement which gave us Teddy Roosevelt (Republican) and Woodrow Wilson (which gave us the income tax, direct election of Senators, the Fed, and the beginning of internationalism). Next came FDR and the “New Deal” which gave us massive government beauracracies, Social Security, Interstate Commerce Clause corruption and the imperial presidency. This was followed by LBJ’s “Great Society,” which Nixon did almost nothing to reverse, and in fact solidified, producing the Welfare State and HUGE entitlement programs, and unpegged us from the Gold Standard. And then there was the failed attempt of Carter and Clinton to nationalize portions of the economy, and the apparent ascendence (for now) of the Obamunist evolution into a true Marxist/Socialist state that had finally all but discarded the Constitution and mocked the will of the people."

That's a fairly good summary of where the federal government has been taking America for the last century. I blame the corrupt "public" (government) education system that is now almost entirely controlled and run by people who hate capitalism, free enterprise, individual liberty, Christianity, God and independent thinking. These rotten people controlling the school systems of America have consciously destroyed civic pride and respect for our history and country in the minds of America's youth, especially in high schools and the colleges. That's why the federal government can foist "health care" legislation and new taxes and all the other "Obaminations" on a clueless and frankly stupid public.

Yes, they have 'skin in the game', namely, they are public employees and will, at the drop of a hat, promote whatever blessings the State supposedly bestows upon us all (political correctness, affirmative action, welfare, redistribution of wealth, etc.).

The only way to combat this is to privatize all education. To do so, parents will have to pay to send their kids to school rather than expect the 'community' via property taxes to pick up the bill, or, homeschool. I prefer the latter.

We should have seen this trainwreck coming. Free people are never well-served by collectives such as modern education. In fact, I would not be as concerned if my children were short on some facts, but abundant in truths. Hard work pays off and too few young people understand this at all.

Good post. We should let them fire first. Then we fight. Hopefully, the Supreme Court can forstall this fight. If not, then all bets are off.

standing on the greens PREPARED and determined is one thing. Firing the first shot is another

thats precisely why we're in this mess today...we choose life vs a foe determined to dominate and exterminate us...

unfortunately, i believe time is gettin short as the tyrants are really feelin their oats and soon wont tolerate any 'uppity' remarks from the trash in the streets, much less allow us to say 'hell NO' to being robbed at gunpoint...

for those listening, its time to seek the Lord Jesus and repent so that we might go forward with the proper Will in our hearts and minds, prepared for anything...

although it aint time 'yet', we dont have the luxury of knowing exactly when or where it will be, but He or they will surely let us know, probably sooner than later...
