And you can get an app for the iphone that uses your current location and shows you a map of the ten nearest dispensaries.

Most pot smokers grow their own right now anyway.

If norml folk could just meander down to the local store and buy it legal, I wonder if many would bother with growing it?

I can brew my own beer (of somewhat decent quality) but beyond the attraction of doing it myself, I can buy better beer at the liquor store.

Of the numbers of new people that would start using marijuana I don't think many would bother with the trouble, time and expense. For those that do buy now without a medical recommendation, I can see them dumping their local channels to buy a product of consistent quality from a known commercial source.

Because it's cheaper.

Most potheads I know don't have any money.

Why pay a fat tax when my friend the grower charges half the price?

For those that do buy now without a medical recommendation, I can see them dumping their local channels to buy a product of consistent quality from a known commercial source.

It's actually not that hard to find quality pot. Legalization will make the good stuff cheaper and the mediocre crap sold by the government worthless.

Legal pot would be ridiculously cheap even if it were taxed to the hilt. Plus, a store would have a ton of variety. Most homeless alcoholics have no money either but find a way to buy liquor. And why would stores sell crap? Washington has state run liquor stores and they sell the same poison everyone else does.

Next in line: LSD.

It apparently is already legal in Congress.
