Ya know? I have to agree with you on your point.
That and the only way to get past this socialism is to completely collapse the system. Maybe I am wrong..I dunno.
When the system took on debts that were impossible to repay, it was a de facto collapse. So the only argument now is how will it come about.
The national government is both unwilling and incapable of doing what is necessary to remedy the situation, and may actually be glad when the individual States, in a constitutional convention, do it for them, as it will absolve the national government of responsibility, and make it able to function again.
No doubt the national government and the political parties are willing, at this point, to allow a governmental disintegration into a corporatist/lobbyist muddle, but that just turns the national government into a bad joke, unable to buy things, ignored by most everyone, and no longer able to enforce its authority.
So the issue becomes how bad will things have to get before the States intervene, and what level of preparedness will they have when that time comes. Already, there are several parallel efforts by the States to this end, but as of yet, no State level calls for a convention, much less discussion of what needs to be done at such a convention.
I have little fear of a convention, both because its requirements are such as that it will be a very conservative event, oriented to restoration, not revolution. And also because the focus will be on strengthening the power of the States at the expense of the national government. The people, as such, are somewhat on the sidelines.
All we can do is to encourage our States to participate, and support them in their efforts. Right now, this just means to familiarize our State legislators about the *possibility* of a convention, and what might be tabled there.
LOL!
Liberals in the cities are the immoral ones, relatively speaking, and since we can't afford our military now, they may be an endangered species. If we're attacked it's the liberals in the cities that will be decimated.
Buy an acre out in the country just for voting purposes.
Liberalism is what's destroying our country. There's something about being cooped up in a city that makes people lose sight of how valuable freedom is and how to keep the government in check. If we're going to raise this nation out of the ashes there's going to have to be some changes so we don't go down this road again. Apartment buildings full of liberals is a major part of the problem. No land, no vote.
They are expecting a Messiah based on the Old Testament...so maybe there's an exception to every rule. :^)
North Kentucky sounds good, now that I think about it. I mean, I grew up in Paducah. Nice place. Still go back there even though I have no relatives living there anymore. Friends a’plenty, though.
