Agree with your comment and wonder why a conservative site like this would allow the manipulation of the headline of this article which shows a blatant support of Schlussel’s accusations.... (capitalization of CON in the word concert).
Bottom line.
Were I in charge of any charity, I would go to all lengths and measures to make certain I kept expenses to the absolute minimum.
And I mean, NO frills. NO extras.
The absolute minimum expenses.
If the concerts are a donor, not part of the Freedom Alliance, and are for the Freedom Alliance Scholarship Fund, and the purpose for the concert along with the disclaimer of NET proceeds will be donated is stated on hannity.com, how is this any different than a group organizing a fundraiser for ASPCA, and donating the proceeds? I think that an extra 10 million since 2003 is better for the Scholarship fund, than no 10 mil. If they can streamline more of the costs for the concerts, even better. The head of the AIP, himself makes 125K, or more. (that was in 2007 i believe).
If you go to the concert and buy a ticket, you can’t miss the statement about the costs and NET proceeds.
Debbie’s tie-in with Hannity, IMHO, is her vitriol. Who does she have a problem with? Hannity and the Freedom Alliance are separate.

That’s the actual headline/title.
Yeah.. did the unthinkable and linked to her article and yes that is the headline. Needs a barf alert.
ditto that. don’t want to be like algore flying around for all these GW speeches in a gulfstream or having a huge house with a large electric bill or date nights to new york on the taxpayer dime.
what’s weird also about AIP is when i googled the sec/treaure, president of “Forestree, Inc.”, that company profile said it only had two employees and sales of 120K. Business consultants.
Yes.... a huge barf alert with a barf bag included.
Consultants. Sheeesh. That’s a scam right there.
Charities I have worked with are very careful about this. The IRS is more than ready to audit them into oblivion if they show too much on the expenditure/admin side.
I would think that this, being a charity promoted by a conservative personality would be under heavy scrutiny by the IRS... at least since this new administration came into office.
If they had something legitimate on them, they would have squashed them like a bug.
guess so. sad that it’s so hard to find an “unbiased” look at things. what used to be “reporting the NEWS” is now opinion laced with some facts, agenda driven.
is CAIR a charity? i would like them audited to oblivion. :)
one charity i won’t be donating to with my meager funds, John McCain’s campaign here in AZ.

he must be a lousy one at that. 120K, for Chicago living? must have had something else on the side. it’s amazing how many of these lefties are incestuous: on same boards, work at same place, same type of employment. apparently no plans for “diversity” or a fresh and different POV.
Wouldn’t surprise me at all. Hannity is a pantywaste and a mental midget compared to every AM talker out there. If true, good riddance.
Have seen way to many threads over the years that manipulate
by title, source and half truths to prove a personal opinion.
Some on FR can only post such threads
Excellent thinking, antceecee!
I’ll wager they’ve been watched closely and audited!
thanks. i’d like to change that. advocates for terrorists don’t deserve a tax-exempt status.
Yep, apparently, that’s his “reported” income. How convenient is that?
The “drive by” posters get me. I think that there are only a few of the “royal order of freeperhood” that have earned that privilege.
