I’m perusing the local used gun site, and stumbled across a fellow who is selling his Mossberg Maverick 91. No details other than he has “fired about 50 shells” and wants $250.

I e-mailed him for a foto and some details, and depending on what he actually has I may make an offer...what’s it really worth and what should I look for when I see the gun?? I figure since it’s a Mossberg, it’s hard to go wrong and there are lots of ways to customize a Model 91.

I saw great old shotgun at the gunshow here last weekend. It was an ancient side by side ten gauge; twin triggers, enormous hammer and lots of nice scrolling, although it was worn. The end looks like pair of highway tunnels side by side. It had obviously been well used and well tended. He wanted $150 for it, and I was tempted to buy it just because it was so unique, but I can’t use a 10 GA and I don’t need another long barreled shotgun.

I was seriously considering the Ruger LCR, but Tom Makes a persuasive case for the LCP.

I found a guy with several Savage Mod. 24’s for sale. They are in different configurations. .22 [mag] over .410, .22 LR over 20 gauge, .22 Hornet over .410.

I can not say how much I really like older firearms.

I dont know that the Maverick 91 is a bad gun, but laws you should have bought that 10 ga.

I would love one of those.

What I really want is a 12 ga/30.30 over and under.

It’s amazing how much I can get out of a pound of black powder! I could feed my family for $5 a year. Has anybody else experienced this?

150 rds downrage.... no FTF or FTE. Keeper and gunsafe bound. Anyone else get this deal?

PS, agreed, I would have bought the 10ga unless it had damascus barrels.
