I would think they are doing this as a head fake. Asking people to pull all US investment out of Israel serves no useful purpose. Netanyahu is too hard-headed to telegraph a real Iran strike with an announcement like this - if it is a real stike. My guess it isto put more pressure on the Mullahs to rid themselves of Ahamdinejad But, if it is real, it is strange!!!

We’re on our way to Israel and hope they can hold the bombing until May. They haven’t asked for my schedule yet. LOL.

Saudia Arabia and Egypt, to name two Arab countries, would welcome an Israeli hit on Iran.

Mecca and Medina are main targets, to be sure.

Grenades, machine guns bombs went off in a waiting area in the Athens airport in Sep 1973 . . .

our last stop before Israel . . .

5 MINUTES

after we left that area.

They literally threw the last of our luggage on, rush boarded us and it sure SEEMED LIKE

the plane took off from the terminal—no taxiing. just Zoom.

Israeli security informed us the terrorists had targeted our group because of one of our tour guides . . . and that they were doing what they could to protect us but that we needed to watch out, too.

One might wish.

Israel tends to be quite protective of religious sites.

I have absolutely no respect for the authorities in Athens. Even before that experience, they were obviously schlocky.

The common people can be wonderful.

Probably because Israel is going to take out Iran’s nuclear facilities in the next 2-4 weeks. Would cause instability for financial markets, of course.

I seriously doubt Israel will be attacking Iran anytime within the next 6 months.

They might be afraid of America freezing foreign assets—we’ve done it before. I examined having accounts in Israel before, and it is kind of a bulky investment....However, their banking system is much more solid than ours and it is a temptation..

Famines, wars and earthquakes have happened practically every year of recorded human history and beyond. Nothing is new or prophetic about that fact.

Check around history and let us know when there were as many earthquakes as we've seen in the past twenty years. While you're at it, check out a chart that shows earthquake activity over time, and see what you think of the shape of that chart over the past couple decades. Should be an interesting chart and might give you at least a little pause in your position.

I much enjoyed the trip to Corinth.

And the Byzantine mosaics here and there were beautiful.

The Acropolis and Mars hill were more or less anti-climactic. They were moderatly interesting . . . but more because of the Scripture and history I knew than because of anything else.

The Parthenon is quite a ruin, for sure. And likely much better now after all their improvments. Still, I don’t know that it was worth the risk.

We just didn’t feel as safe in Athens—even before the incident. Things seemed poorly ran from security to everything.
