The big insurance companies are quite vocally opposed to this:

They could be more vocal, in my opinion, but then again, PR is not their line of business.
You know, we should start a habit of pointing out which of Alinsky’s rules the Democrats are using. Once you have read the book, it becomes pretty transparent what they are doing. If we point it out enough times even the general public will catch on.
RULE 12: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.” Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions.
In other words, demonize a person and run against them. That’s what Obama is doing here. Instead of arguing facts, he is trying to create an “us vs. them” situation. Everything we do is good, and everything they do is bad.
Part of this strategy is to totally ignore any facts and instead play to raw emotion. The idea is to get people to STOP thinking, and to instead get angry (at the group being demonized).
This guy is a classless punk
First, whip the inner city mobs into an anti-business frenzy.
Then makes threats of “I am the only thing standing between you (Mr. Insurance executive) and the pitchforks.” This is how he got control of AIG (now owned by the government).
Well, things are different now. By his actions he has shown time and again he is NOT the smartest person in the room.
Bad mouthing business will drive down the stock prices of these companies, causing more layoffs, and the businesses will pass less in taxes.
Every action he is taking seems designed to further weaken the American financial sector.
The American public is not stupid.
