It will be
VERY interesting to see what happens tonight if WABC is still off Cablevision because:
1) It could cut the national ratings for the Oscars by as much as 0.5 points because of its effects on the viewership in the #1 media market in the USA.
2) It could cost ABC/WABC as much as US$10 million in advertising revenue.

I am so out of the loop that I don’t even know who Judy Dench is. LOL!
I went to one movie at the local theater this year, The Blind Side. I did enjoy it, but as usual the book was better. There was a lot about the development about the left tackle and how it has become such a high valued position in the NFL.
I have purposely avoided all the Oscar talk except I did read how disgusted so many vets were with the innacuracies of The Hurt Locker.

With digital transmission many people don't need cable anymore. I live in NJ 25 miles from the NY Empire State building and from indoors this small cable-killer antenna pulls in 30 crystal clear channels for the price of one month's cable bill:

I grew up in NJ and had the BEST TV! Channels 2, 4, 5, 7, 9, 11 and 13. On good days channel 6 would come in from Philly. Back in those days, I think the Jackie Gleason Show was live.
