What Will it Take to Get Our Country Back?

The two camps in America today are irreconcilable. We are no longer merely liberals and conservatives who both love our country but see things differently politically. The two camps now are those who love the country as our Founders established it and those who detest that nation and seek to install something marxist and hedonistic.

We traditionalists have compromised with the Left for over fifty years, and as Ayn Rand aptly observed “In any compromise between Good and Evil, only Evil can profit.”And now, they are the majority in our urban areas.

I say, let the Leftists have their New England and Left coast, and let the rest of America secede to reestablish a Constitutional Republic under Almighty God!

That is my proposal too. I know in the past I would disagree with most of the New Deal agenda and spending but when push came to shove, I can trust him to watch my back in war and I would watch his back. We would come together and fight for the same thing. Today, I think most of the New Left if they watched our back would shoot us, and we would return the favor. We are so divided, 180 degrees out of phase. I am an amateur radio operator and know basic A/C theory, when you are out of phase, one alternator generates electricity, the other consumes it and it becomes a loop that feeds itself and both will explode. That is like where we are today.

If Alien Space Bats gave me the power of James Mattoon Scott, first I would do is to hire some advisers from Free Republic and other like minded places to let me know in case if I over-extend my power, I can be corrupted like anyone else so I would want oversight of me. I would make the offices of the President and Congress vacant and the Joint Chiefs would take control of the Federal government and I would temporarily move our capital to either Colorado Springs or Cheyenne Mountain where NORAD is. The States will go on as they are and I would not interfere with their internal matter unless I'm required to by Constitutional grounds. I would have a massive program of educating the American people what America is all about. I would then call for new elections for President and a new Congress by either 2012 or 2016, depending on the progress made. If anyone held office in any of those positions, they would be barred for life for running for any Federal offices. I would also have a Truth Commission, if anyone has committed crimes while in office and upon conviction in a fair trial, the punishment would range from losing their pensions, to house arrest and for extreme treason, life in jail. Otherwise they will keep their retirement and pensions. After the new President and Congress is seated, I would back out and put the Joint Chiefs back in their original role and let things go from there.

Now if the country is divided, I would do the same thing in our part of it and if anyone wants to leave for the Blue areas, more power to them and I would take in the Red refugees from their areas.
