Don’t know about Everclear, but when I was younger and at parties, we would watch the blue flame from the lid of Golden Grain burn on and on and on.

As a Marylander, this is how I feel right now.

Years ago I worked for a large retail chain. At a regional meeting they were handing out samples of our new signing program. This included a sign promoting the $3 Layaway Fee, with another sign stating that the fee was $1.

Obviously this confused us. One guy from a store in Maryland stood up and said “I can explain that, it has to do with something that happened in our store”.

Apparently they lost some lady’s Christmas layaway, and it turned out that her husband was in the Maryland State Legislature. So as payback for the lost layaway she got her husband to put through a bill capping layaway fees in Maryland at one dollar.

THAT pretty much explains the level of micro-managed pettiness that you are dealing with here.

Where's the dividing line between "beverage" and "reagent" or "solvent?"

On the tax stamp?

But you’re safe with “only” 94.5 percent ...

Prohibition: still a bad idea.

Well, at least, if this bill passes, I won’t get throwing-up fitshaced in a college dorm again...at least until I imbibe something else. :-)

I remember when they banned kegs at our campus in Maryland in the 80s.

I don’t know how I survived in college there without these nannies. Grain alcohol and kegs. You could even smoke in bars and cigs were $1.10.

It must have been a miracle that I survived to be a productive member of society without the nannies.

The therapeutic social engineering state will never stop.

If there is any good news from this....

These college kids will figure out that liberals are anything but. It’s a misnomer.

They get their news online and they vote.
