They might use the Nuclear option! The Senate I mean!

The Senate isn't the problem for the Democrats, it is the House, which won't pass the Senate version.

Having read your link, I also am unable to form an opinion. However, the thought occurred to me that if costs were posted publicly, rather than shared privately, there could be no collusion, and we the consumer would have an idea if we were being overcharged.

Nice short Bill, I can support that.

I want the names of the republicans that voted against it.
that being said I’m not sure I support the McCarran-Ferguson Act.

But the health insurance industry should play by the same rules as every other industry.

Nonsense. The people can control monopolies through their purchasing behavior.

Nefarious corporations would be run out on a rail by the people.

"Nonsense. The people can control monopolies through their purchasing behavior."

That's not true. Somethings people won't go without. And if the monopoly has locked up supply you don't have a choice.

"Nefarious corporations would be run out on a rail by the people."

Yes people file anti-trust suits against them, and then there is a trial to prove whether they are really nefarious, and then if guilty a judge tells them which rail they will going out on.

"Insurance is controlled by state insurance commissions. Sale of insurance products is licensed state by state which is kind of silly."

Well, actually, I think the insurance company normally forms a subsidiary in each state it sells in. Regardless, they have to comply with each state's regulations. Those regulations include: minimum requirements for policies, proof that the insurance company has enough assets that they can pay off on the policies they have written, brokers that meet licensing requirements, etc.

Wrong again. I see it’s pointless trying to argue with a blockhead.
