Well, at the Olympics they are, doofus.
I was at a Barcelona hotel waiting in line to talk to the clerk at the desk. I was third in line. I listened to him talk and thought that he was an American and had found a great summer job in Spain. When I got up to the front of the line I asked him where he was from, thinking he would say Cleveland or Nebraska or something. He said he was from Barcelona. I complemented him on his command of the English language. He said he had a teacher in grade school who was from Pittsburgh who taught him correctly. I was really flabbergasted. He spoke better than most big American city high schoolers.
I’m disgusted by Newsweek. Can we call it a day?
Works for me!
"... Another story you're not likely to hear on NBC is that Canadian students outperform Americans on every international test."
... Except international Hockey, because their asses just got saaaaaaaaacked.
And there's a majority of Canadians who would give up their students allegedly outperforming American kids on 'international tests' to have won that hockey game. Believe that.
Like religion, traditional family and workplace values, patriotism just isn’t cool and hip among the counterculture losers.
It has been that way since the snot-nose baby boomers came of age in the mid 1960s.

Partially. I’m a late boomer.
The destructive bullshit, you seem to favor, was already well in place, aided by middle-aged Commies like Walter Cronkite, when I came of age.
