Wayne Slater/ReporterA new poll reinforces the problem that Rick Perry has had for some time: He's a conservative Republican incumbent in a conservative Republican primary -- but he can't break 50 percent. The new Rasmussen Reports survey of likely Republican primary voters finds: Perry leading Senate Kay Bailey Hutchison 48 percent to 27 percent. Debra Medina trails at 16. That suggests that Perry is rising, Hutchison is falling and Medina is standing still (a surprising result considering her botched answer to the 9/11 truther question on the Glenn Beck radio show).
At the beginning of the month, Perry led 44 percent to Hutchison's 29 percent and Medina's 16 percent. Hutchison's high point in the Rasmussen polling was in September, just after she announced her candidacy for governor -- a 40 percent to 38 percent lead over Perry. Conservatives don’t vote to give themselves things. As bad as things are in my home state of Michigan, I don’t want stimulus funds.

But how do they vote? I know a lot of people who are actually very conservative in their views and how they live their lives. But when it comes to voting, they will vote Democrat every time.
The Protestant Hispanics are conservative, they voted Republican by 56% Bush against John Kerry in 2004 and they voted 48% for McCain/Palin in 2008.

Less than a third of Hispanics are protestant. And by your own stats, fewer than half of them voted for McCain.
This is a LIE. Other than a stint in the Navy and briefly working a job for a year after that, I’ve lived in my native state (Texas). I’m from the Rio Grande Valley, grew up speaking proper Spanish, Hispanics continue to overwhelmingly vote Democrat. Every time.
There are exceptions but by overwhelmingly voting Democrat, what are they doing, regardless of what they SAY? They are supporting the Democrat platform 100% officially, by their very vote.
They can peddle this LIE to the Kool-Aid drinkers. Once the illegal aliens are granted amnesty, we will truly reap what we have sown and you will experience what we did in the Valley, a permanent state of Democrat rule.
it’s common knowledge (now!) that on the hispanic channels during the last election in Iowa, the democrats lied on their family values issues to get Hispanics to vote. And they don’t talk to them, just “teach” them to vote straight D.

The problem is that people have been paying into the social welfare system, therefore it is a RIGHT. That is the thinking, and it is the result of successful implementation of a plan to create slaves by those in power. Even conservatives will fight to receive their SS payments upon reaching retirement age.
Long term, this is very bad news for Dems.
Hispanics will come to us. They are inherently conservative and we don’t need to change the tent to have them enter.
We need to get the message, the conservative message out on hispanic radio and tv.

That should make you a little happy and let you know that the Hispanic problem is not the insurmountable lock that the left thinks it is, instead, learning this seems to have annoyed you.
“Conservative”, as in Christian socialist, coservative-on-social-issues/liberal-on-economic-issues, Huckabee-type conservatives.
