He means that libertaians are not conservatives.
That is a fact, and it makes sense, they have already entered the game as only partly being conservative, they do not have conservative natures.
I don't think you can call the early boomers the "last great warrior generation".
1984 was the first presidential election in which all boomers were old enough to vote in a Presidential election.
Boomers are still in the military today of course in very large numbers, during Desert Storm they ranged in age from about 27 to 45 so the military had tons of them trained to fight Soviet tanks and the Soviet/Eastern block armies in Europe while vastly outnumbered. In 2006 the United States Army tried to get congress to raise the enlistment age to 44 so that they could bring in more boomers to make up our desperate need for enlistments, this after already using females to make up 15% of the shortfalls, as it is, they did raise it so that 42 year olds could enlist.
Almost nine and a half million boomers served in the military and now we can barely fill our greatly reduced ranks using girls and middle age women to flesh out a significant portion of the enlistments, although we have a massive population that exceeds 300 million and we have a much smaller military.
The boomers were the last great warrior “generation”, they served en masse and they were enlisting when the military was seen as scum by the old people (greatest generation)that ran the media, the news and Hollywood and Washington, and the pay was almost nothing and many are still there today.
Excellent post. Describes my feelings exactly. :-)
