If my memory is right, Canada has to beat Germany in a “play in” game and they would face the Russians in the quarters.

Canada has to go through Russia and Sweden to get to the gold medal game. US has the winner of Latvia/Czech, then probably Finland. I like our chances.

Comcast cable in my area doesn’t even offer MSNBC. Guess they know that nobody watches. Way to go NBC, shunting off a game that everyone wants to see onto a channel that nobody watches. And you wonder why you’re a 4th place network.

USA took world juniors cup at xmas, then under 15 year olds a week later; all my Canadian friends said just wait until the Olympics.

Once my Blood Pressure went down under 200, I started calling my upriver friends in Dawson who were also quite stunned but in a foul sort of manner. They all blamed Marty, bad penalties, were really besides themselves.

I haven't watched a game not in HD for years, game last night didn't even bother me in 480, was so good.
