Isn’t Al Gore a partner at Kleiner Perkins? Isn’t he supposed to be handling that firm’s green portfolio? I’m sure those investments are humpin’ and pumpin’ these days.

When does someone investigate Gore for market manipulation and insider trading in carbon credits? And what happens when the green balloon bursts? Is the bummint gonna bail out those weasels, too?

INTENTIONAL INFLICTION OF EMOTIONAL DISTRESS
The elements of a prima facie case for the tort of intentional infliction of emotional distress are:
(1) outrageous conduct by the defendant;
(2) the defendant’s intention of causing or reckless disregard of the probability of causing emotional distress;
(3) the plaintiff’s suffering severe or extreme emotional distress; and
(4) actual and proximate causation of the emotional distress by the defendant’s outrageous conduct. (Alcorn v. Anbro Engineering, Inc (1970) 2 Cal.3d 493, 497-498
EMOTIONAL DISTRESS-DEFINED
The term “emotional distress” means mental distress, mental suffering or mental anguish. It includes all highly unpleasant mental reactions, such as fright, nervousness, grief, anxiety, worry, mortification, shock, humiliation and indignity, as well as physical pain.

Al Gore boards one of his private Gulfstream aircraft as he embarks upon another $ 50,000 speaking fee jaunt. The flight will produce 4,000 pounds of carbon dioxide and jet exhaust. He enjoys a $300 bottle of wine as he eats his catered dinner. He feels good about himself.

Keep in mind that we have three years left of (unconstitutional) executive orders and (blatantly unconstitutional) regulatory edicts coming our way designed to force what this piece claims has failed.

And unless we get a president with more intestinal fortitude than GWB we will be stuck with them.

One of my biggest complaints RE Bush is how he left in place so many of the horrible executive orders issued by Clinton (and Carter).

I knew as soon as AlGore was given all of these accolades, that the AGW movement had jumped the shark.

It was just a matter of time before their cockeyed theories would be sent crashing down.

Carbon credits have gone from about $7/unit (ton?) to $0.10. This has been kept very quiet, hasn’t it?

The bubble already burst and the various perps and suckers have slunk off to find some other scam.

Dang, at that price I should just stock up several years’ worth of credits and go take the hacksaw to my catalytic converter!

I presume Gore wasn't invested in carbon credits or he would be destitute today. I checked the Chicago Carbon Exchange and you are correct. These things now are worth less than toilet paper.

Music to my ears

Wonder why the obummer is still adamant about getting these regulations through, using every which way - including loose?

He bought in for his shares in the Chi-town branch long before the world knew he existed. And it's not just his own portfolio that he's trying to rescue - but those of the men behind the curtain that charged him with ramming this down the world's throat.

They were on the road to becoming billion/trillionaires AND to reign as rulers of the New World Order - under the wing of the UN.

Now rats in the leaky ship are deserting, hoping to get out before the ax falls - Rico?

Good golly, he had his own carbon credit branch - and he lived high of the hog, jetting around, having a house that uses many times more than the average energy, etc, saying it was okay for HIM to consume 10's of times more energy than regular folk becasue he paid for carbon credits - but he paid his own carbon credit outfit.

ergo, he took money from one of his pockets and put in into another one of his pockets.

Now, it seems, those money stuffed pockets only have a dime in them. That's 'change' I can believe in.

So now he may have to go back to living off his inherited OXY oil stocks...the company famous for polluting and for cutting down the rain forest.
