Aside from the fact that he’s got a bad ticker, Cheney would have made a great President. Too bad.

It would be great to watch the MSM grab their collective chests if he ran, but it is time to move on.

Even though I think he would make a great president, his heart problems would be great fodder for his detractors and thus eliminate him as a viable candidate.

He’s too old, and he has a bad ticker. He just turned 69. He’ll be 71 in 2012 and would be 3 years older on January 20, 2013 than Ronald Reagan was when he started his first term.
To: starczar66
I don’t think he’s the right choice, but I’d love to see this rumor take hold, just to watch the DUmmies and KOssacks heads explode.

Before you scream at me again, look at your sentence structure before you hit the post button.
This country needs a Dick Cheney right about now.
"go back to the era of big gov republicanism"......
I'm sorry, you will have to explain that to me......
If you can.

I think Dick Cheney would make a great president but... there is still a high level of Bush fatigue among the independent voters. They don’t feel the same way about Dick Cheney that conservatives do. I’m afraid that if we ran Cheney for president, we would throw away an election that could otherwise easily be won. Dick Cheney is doing just fine as our attack dog. We need a fresh face without eight years of press attacks dogging them to be the candidate in 2012. It will be pretty hard for the Republican party to rebrand its image in the public’s eye, if we field a candidate who isn’t a fresh face.
