The issue involved here was my repeated, irresponsible behavior. I was unfaithful. I had affairs. I cheated. What I did was not acceptable. I am the only person to blame. I stopped living by the core values that I was taught to believe in. I knew my actions were wrong, but I convinced myself that normal rules didn't apply. I never thought about who I was hurting, instead I thought only about myself. I ran straight through the boundaries that a married couple should live by. I thought I could get away with whatever I wanted to. I felt that I had worked hard my entire life and deserved to enjoy all the temptations around me. I felt I was entitled. Thanks to money and fame, I didn't have to go far to find them.
"...and all this will be even more true when feel entitled to cheat from now on."

You are certainly more gracious and charitable than I am in this context, but I’m not a golf fan, so I don’t carry any Tiger baggage with me.

Of course there were additional motivations for Tiger’s public statement. It is simply my personal opinion that Tiger is doing damage control, with the personal income and the foundation’s income as the primary reasons for the statement. Public statements will not do anything for his marriage. That work is going to be waaaay harder than a public mea culpa. Again, JMO.

I’m not saying they don’t put a lot of effort into becoming the best at their “game”. They enjoy what they do - it’s nothing like the poor guy who slugs it out, say, in the steel mills, the mines, etc. There are a lot of very tough jobs out there, and, sorry, but sports isn’t one of them...just my humble opinion.
