I'm sorry to say I have missed it so far. I do hope to catch some re-runs and see what all the controversy is about.
I agree that many Italian-American kids who never leave the neighborhood can be adversely influenced by media stereotypes -- which seem to focus only on the small percentage of Italian-Americans who are criminals or "guidos."
The far larger percentage talian-Americans are hard-working people, mostly Catholic or Christian in their social morality, strong, earthy, artistic, enthusiastic and fun-loving, who make (and have always made) a great contribution to America in every walk of life.
