A little fog rolled over Humboldt Bay this evening but not before we got a little garden cleanup done. My son told me today that the Samoa Drag strip got certified for sub 7 second runs. There was a 6.88 run late last year. This is a all volunteer grassroots drag strip in operation since 1952...
Since this race is being run in a liberal “blue” state shouldn’t the pace car reflect the venue? I would suggest a Toyota Prius with Barbara Boxer as pace car driver or a dirty hippie on roller skates and a rainbow motif. And drivers should be allowed to bump draft the pace car! Ratings would be way up!
Looking forward to see who is the next stud in the stable at Cali. congrats to Elliot Sadler and Family!
Carl Edwards’ wife is due any day now.
The real California pace car should be a Volkswagon Bus with flower power motif.
Pre race throws Barbara boxer under the bus. Cheech Marin is the grand marshall. Jimi Hendrix plays the National Anthem.
Cars are equipped with low rider shocks and 20 inch chrome wheels.
“Daytona to California or from wild to the blahs.”
You got that right!
The worst part was when the sun went down I froze my ass off!!!
I’m voting for John Force or his daughter in one of the Funny Cars for Pace Car and driver...
This time I don’t mind if qualifying is rained out - **ahem** I wonder who is second in points?
The boys are getting closer to LVMS!
Why don’t you and the boy run over to Fontana and be our official Spotter this weekend...
Last time we were there a record was set......
Earliest in the season that it went over 100 degrees.
That was not fun!
Won't be able to do spotter duty at LVMS this year, either.
The only day we are going is Friday, Neon Garage (the wife wants to go back)and watch some qualifying.
I missed Jamie on Regis & Kelly - the house where I was working had NBC with the Olympics coverage preempting them.
Had to take the dog back in to vet this morning - they were boarded there for 10 days. The Dr admitted he let him out in the yard yesterday and he ran smack into a gate head first. I noticed last night he couldn’t chew and there was blood off and on in his bed. So today they have to sedate him and pull the tooth :( SIGH as if I didn’t feel guilty enough for leaving them in the kennel, now this.
Our dog hamstrings us more then our kids ever did as far as traveling on spontaneous trips...
Yes it definitely is a problem. There’s not much choice here for boarding. It’s either my vet whom I do trust or a boarding place that I know nothing about. Plus there is a vet/boarding facility by the house where I work off and on but I don’t know them at all either.
Now that is one beautiful car! [because orange just happens to be my favorite color]
Additional views or links will be appreciated... my desktop needs a new pic. :-)
